help! trying to find old y & r (1982!) on tape?

hi everyone! can anyone help me out here. i'm a loooonnnggg time watcher of y & r and i'm wondering if anyone knows of anywhere if at all possible where i can find old 1982 episodes of y and r old tape? specifically episodes of kay chancellor and jerry "cash"cashman played by the late great john gibson? anyone help me out here? were vcr's even around in 1982? laugh! anybody have any idea of where i could find and yes buy old y & R tapes from this period. i'm going to post this same request on soaps.com on the y & r message board. thanks in advance for the replies (p.s. yes i've tried youtube and there are some old clips of the show but none of jeanne cooper and john gibson.
