Read Her Lips

Has anyone noticed that the woman that gives the introduction to the website (who points to and expains the menu items, before continuing to the main site) doesn't appear to say what the audio plays? Occasionally her lips sync up with the audio, but usually they don't. It's not merely a loss of synchronization, she is definitely saying something other than what the audio is playing most of the time. Can any lip readers take a close look at her, and tell me what she's actually saying?

I noticed that.. I just forgot to post. I wish I could read lips because there is somthing definatly up with that

Yeah it may be like the Dharma tape where some parts are cut out and replaced (except this is audio).
It may be something from another language so it would be really hard to know what she is saying.

You could be on to something but it also looks like she could be saying what the audio is playing but slightly out of sync in places. As if the audio was recorded separately so the two sort of sync up but not really.

she's definately saying what the audio is saying. the audio and video are just out of sync. maybe the voice over is not her voice.

Okay the lady at the front of the hanso foundation website is annoying the crap out of me. I swear she's not saying what it sounds like she's saying. I know you'll think I'm crazy, but if you look at her carefully you'll see what I mean. Some may dismiss this as a lag thing, but there's places where her mouth syncs up exactly to what we hear, and there's places where her mouth isn't even moving but there's still words, or her lips are saying something slightly different. For example when she starts, her voice is nowhere near what we hear.

"welcome to the hanso foundation where you can experience all of..."

None of that is anything near what her mouth is doing. Then all the sudden...

"...the social and scientific endeavors we are pioneering to make your world a better place. On your left here please choose..."

Most of that is spot on, but somewhere between the word "place" and the word "choose" her lips start to go off on their own again. By the time we get to this...

"...any of our programs to see exactly what we're..."

her voice is saying what we hear but her mouth is doing like the Gettysburg Address or something I got no clue. Then all the sudden--

"...working on or find more content here and here..."

Wham her mouth is synced up almost perfectly. Then after "here" but before "make" she kinda pauses unnaturally. Either she's contemplating flicking her hair back and then deciding not to do it, or there's a well hidden jumpcut.

"...make sure you also sign up to our newsletter so the..."

That part's way off. Her mouth is telling off her boyfriend or something. Then we get to--

"hanso"

And "han" is spot on.

"...foundation can keep you up to date on our latest exciting..."

I think here she's reciting a recipe from her favorite cookbook. But she manages to drive it all home with--

"...developments. Thank you and namaste."

I've been trying to find some way to read her lips and figure out what she's actually saying. All I know is she's not saying ..y'know. That.

I think she's speaking Korean or Japanese initially (Paik employee maybe) and was just 'dubbed' for the 'english' version. Kind of like how some of the phone messages (1-877-HANSORG) are in another language (Dutch I believe). In 'reality' it'd be easier to just hire someone to dub for different languages as opposed to hire people for video for each version of the site.

there was a thread about this already, somewhere. but she is definately saying what the words are saying. they are just out of sync.

She's saying exactly what she sounds like she's saying. Her lips don't sync up perfectly but that's it. It's not a lag in the traditional sense because yes, her lips do match up in places and then stop matching up, and then match up again, etc. That's because the audio is separate from the video. Her speech catches up with the video in places, then falls behind it in others, but you can tell from watching her lips that she is still saying the same thing.
