Welcome the forums

What exactly do you mean by this question? Do you mean should they legalise it? Make it the main method of execution... If so then I dunno.... It is more humane then many other ways of execution....

BTW.... They're are, I believe about 18-20 different ways to execute a person... or rather nearly 20 different ways that execution in the true form is currently done in the world today....

The USA... currently sanctions FIVE of those methods [Electrocution, Hanging, Lethal Gas, Firing Squad & of course Lethal Injection] .... 37 favouring the lethal injection.... others use a combination of a few of them.... only one actually uses eletrocution as it's main method.... Nebraska... just a piece of useless info there for you....

In answer to your question.... I suppose there are pros and cons.... for and against.... I suppose it would be more humane then some ways.... There are some states, I believe that give a choice between a couple of methods.... although I may stand corrected about that one....

The injection itself comes in three bits.... one drug that makes person sleep.... one that paralyses the lungs and chest.... and then the last most lethal one that causes cardiac Arrest.... They are administered into the person in stages through two saline drips put into two workable veins, one in each arm .... Some states also allow a thorazine/sedative injection prior to the other three... if there is a problem with getting workable veins....

How do I know all this??? I actually had a lecture about parts of it when I studied nursing some years ago..... I know it's a mad thing to talk about when you are studying about how to save lives.... but it sort of stuck out in my mind....

What do you think about this subject????

I think she's asking 'should theY sterilize the lethal injection needles?' which i think is kinda pointless right? You are dying either way ,do they really need sterilized needles?

I never got the actual first question... never saw it from the sterilize the needle side of things.... Yeah... I suppose... not much of a point to it there.... but I guess they would be required to do so by law.... as it is health officials who prepare the drugs etc...

See you learn so much on here.... I didn't know that a starfish could crawl up a fish tank when hungry.... LOL!!!

By the way they should use castration as a form of punishment for child molesters and rapists as well as amputation of all their limbs...but hey that's just my opinion...i got the idea from some sicko that was on the news and he was pleading with the state to have him castrated cause he said that when he got out of prison, he would just keep molesting kids because he wouldn't be able to stop himself! These people make me sick!!!

i just kind of read it as a joke. maybe he was serious.

one thing that makes me go hmmmm...
