I don't know. It's a private organization so they have their own rules. The last place I was at you had to find a replacement when you were calling out from work. Even if you were sick or it was an emergency....and if you couldn't find anybody you had to still come in to work.

Dude that just seems so wrong. I wish I lived in Italy. No one works until 9 or 10, they go home from 11 to 1 for lunch and family time and everything is closed by 6. Sucks as a tourist who is used to 24 hour walmarts and Target being open until 10pm, but maaaaan it must be nice to have things a little more relaxed.

That work schedule sounds nice. I was watching something on TV awhile back and it said Americans work more than employees do in other countries. Not work harder but more like...we don't take as many vacations and we work longer hours and a number of Americans have more than one job. I can testify to all three of those.

Its true. I mean save for countries where people are basically slave labor, Americans push themselves harder than any other country. Some people yah, hardly ever take vacation. Its just a sucky way to live your life if you ask me.

*raises hand* Sucky way of life over here. I never take vacations. I call out sick from time to time but I never actually take a real vacation from work and go away. My friends always get on me about that. It's probably why I'm always tired and getting sick. Work overload.

Hell yah. Everyone needs time to themselves. My job is sucky, but the benefits are awesome so I can't really complain much.
