| where i live, UMDs are veeeery expensive, the cheapest is maybe 40 US dollars. Now, there is a computer place that says he can download a custom firmware into my PSP for 30 dollars and i can just buy games on a CD for 5 dollars almost a game so that i can then copy them directly to my PSP. Personaly, i'm afraid it will harm my PSP... does custom firmware harm the PSP? |

| dude i got a psp i was going to install custom firmware but since i played a umd that required me to update my firmware it made it impossible for me to install without the "pandoras battery" an extra piece of hardware well to answer ure question i would go online to the PLAYSTATION STORE U CAN DOWNLOAD GAMES DIRECTLY to ure computer wich can than be transfered to ure psp some games are 5.99 and are pretty good On your PSP, go into the "Settings" menu, choose "System Settings," then choose "System Information." You'll see the "System Software" version. You will always be able to upgrade wen ure going from firmware 1.50 to 2.60 or 1.52 to 2.00, for example. but, you may not be able to downgrade (going from 3.52 to 1.50 is not currently possible without using Pandora's Battery, |
