| perceptions of the body Not all women are skinny models. I have so many close friends who are so self-conscious about the shape of their bodies. And it’s so disheartening to see all these skinny model-types on tv and makeover shows where big people get some sort of surgery done for the sake of beauty. They need to come out with shows or movies with real people. I really look up to Nikki Blonsky from Hairspray and Jennifer Hudson from DreamGirls... is there anyone you look up to?? |

| she's skinny but not in a think sense.. i think they mean like bigger girls who have made it in hollywood... which btw.. loved rikki lake in hairspray! she was just as awesome too as nikki blonsky which i'm going to be watching her new movie on lifetime tomorrow night |

| Oh I see. Well yeah, she's not big but she's not skinny either. I think her body is just perfect. I don't think these Hollywood models/actresses look good with really skinny bodies. So I respect her for keeping her weight.
