Default Read any good books lately?

In the summer I work less and try to catch up on my reading. Anyone have suggestions for good books?

kevin brockmeier's things that fall from the sky. it's a little older (2003) but an O. Henry award winner and shorts are good for summer reading (IMHO)

"a day in the life of half of rumpelstiltskin" is my personal favorite from the lot.

I am a big fan of John Grisham novels. Sort of courtroom/lawyer type drama/thrillers, I enjoy them a great deal.

i just bought 1984 by George Orwell, and i read two chapters last night. even though most people hate it because it was required reading in high school, i had never read it, and i love what i have read so far. it is very descriptive, and very intriguing at this point.
