I get to watch the next England match with my mate and her boyfriend in his pub. He'll be wearing his Sweden shirt just to wind people up.

Here's another thing:
In which years germany snatched the soccer world championship?

In:

'54
'74
1990

Now multiply 54 by 74, then deduct 1990...what do you get?

The year Germany will claim the Worldcup again! Give it a try!

OK, so the US sucks. No big surpise there. Arena needs to take a hike. He did a piss poor job of coaching a team that should of at least beat Ghana. And don't get me started on that stupid penalty. If Arena is going to blame their performance on that, then the guy needs to shut it and run back to mommy for some pity... 'cause he ain't getting it from me.

Props to Ghana by the way... good show and congrats on their first appearence.

My problem with Arena runs pretty deep and goes all the way back to picking players for the team. He is far to reliant on veteran players like Donovan, who let's face it, is past his prime. LD is Overrated in my opinion! Maybe next year with a few fresh faces the US could do a better job. MAYBE. The US talent seems to be stifled by the lame-o MLS league. Without our players going abroad to challenge themselves and raise the bar for their performance, we will never be anything more than a mediocre team.

Bottom line: UG!
