Early on in the Survivor reunion special tonight, Jeff Probst stated that Survivor: Micronesia might be the best Survivor season since the very first.  After the last six weeks, it's hard to argue with that statement.  I can't remember a more exciting and enthralling end of a season.  However, what happened in the last month and a half is blinding us from what happened in the beginning of the season.  Maybe you don't remember, but the season began poorly – starting with Jonny Fairplay's shameful departure, to the wet blanket Fans Kathleen Sleckman and Chet Welch, Survivor: Micronesia did not look like it was going to be a winner.  Given this, I wouldn't place this season among the top two or three, but that's nitpicking – Micronesia was Survivor at its best for most of its run, and tonight's finale did not disappoint.

I can't say this one was the best. Every one has had something memorable.
Each one has had a dummy, a suppossed leader and the remaining I can do it until they get voted off. But I can't wait till the next in the fall. It just seems like too long between remote islands.

When you think about it, Parv did play the better game, and the jury respected that.

Parvoti did NOT deserve to win - the jury women voted for her because they are jealous of Amanda. Cerie or Amanda deserved it - Cerie was the brains behind every blindside! And Amanda had the total package - brains & physical. I'm glad James won the Sprint $$ - he & Ozzy were my favorite men. And Natalie was simply revolting - nothing but a shallow b----.

Amanda should have won the game, hands down. I guess her playing a more "loyal to her alliances" game couldn't overcome Parv's 'as !@#!@y as it takes' approach. Oh, well.. that's the way of the world!

It never seems to go to who truly deserves it. Amanda dominated the later imunity challenges, but that doesn't seem to matter much to people on the jury that have their own agenda. Some of the jury members voted based solely on personal issues, most that little or nothing to do with the game. Alexis vote was a joke simply because all she voted on was where Parv would use the money. This show is not what its intention was at the beginning and it has started to go the way of the dodo.
