Survivor: China has been through a tumultuous two weeks, creating a large schism among viewers (or at least among BuddyTV readers) and generating heated discussion.  First, Peih-Gee Law and Jaime successfully threw a challenge and voted off Aaron Reisberger, who previously seemed poised for a long run on Survivor: ChinaJames Clement appeared next in line to fall victim to Jaime and Peih-Gee's next thrown challenge, but fate smiled upon the grave digger.  In a sudden turn of events, James was kidnapped, Todd found the hidden immunity idol and Peih-Gee/Jaime decided not to throw their next challenge.  Todd and James made a deal, Todd giving the James the immunity idol and James half-heartedly tried to throw his challenge, but couldn't go through with it and led his team to victory.   Eventually, it was Sherea who was voted out, but the discussion among fans revolved around the relative merits of Jaime, Peih-Gee and James' strategies.

Whoever thinks you are using sexism in your evaluations is missing the point I think.

I tend to agree that Jaime and Peih-Gee handled the situation badly - they were immature and completely childish in the way they went about it IMO.

I also agree that what they did was really not the best thing they could have...they should have in the very least TRIED to forge new inroads with James and Aaron, but they refused and look where they sit now - they have ticked off James (potential for alliance before the throwing incident) and have the Fei Long tribe thinking they are sneaks. I think that as a group - they sealed their own fate.

I blame most of it on Jaime though. If Jaime had told her alliance members about what the kidnapping was about, I think they may have come up with a much better plan. Actually I think if they were smart - rather than moaning around camp after losing the reward - they would have taken the time to tear the place up to find the Immunity Idol before James returned. I am presuming they didn't and I just don't understand why.

I think overall the Zhan Hu alliances actions have been ill-conceived and totally unwarranted. They have placed themselves in the position they are in and they deserve to get the boot and I am confident they will all see their torch snuffed, sooner rather than later.

You watched the same show didn't you Oscar? James clearly went through with it. That isn't even up for debate. Lunch lady even said he was eating as slow as he possibly could so she could win. The problem was the lunch lady couldn't get the food down. So James ate it so she saved face. But there was no doubt James intended to lose that challenge and would have had Debbie have been able to eat the food. Man.. sometimes you BuddyTV guys miss the obvious.

My comment about you being fired was meant as a half-hearted joke, but the rest of the critique stands. I agree with the previous statement that "you BuddyTV guys miss the obvious." By the way, why didn't you copy that message from the psychologist that said their laughter was just "nervous energy." It made sense to me, but I am starting to think that there is nobody who can convince you to open your mind up to any possibilities that your opinions about PG and Jaime are wrong. THAT IS THE REASON WE THINK YOU ARE SEXIST. You give the guys second, third, fourth, fifth, etc chances to screw up and redeem themselves, but women don't get that same consideration.

I don't think it was such a bad idea to throw the challenge, in theory -- one of the few times I didn't think it was a terrible idea to throw a challenge, in fact. However, Peih-Gee and Jaime executed it all wrong! If they had told Erik before the challenge, he might've thrown the swimming part of it and the women's throwing of the puzzle part wouldn't have been so obvious. Of course, the women might have been a little *less* obvious even as it was!

In short: okay idea badly executed.

I made a mistake with the post you included in your article. I based my comment purely on that particular article but I have read the rest. You really are full of crap, and I am ashamed that I supported you.

Thank you for including my comments; I stand by them. Oscar, even though I don't believe it, I am going to allow you to explain to all of us why you support some people over others, based on the presumption that you are not just sexist. Why did you support a man who used vulgar verbal attacks on people to get himself further in the game (including a threat to rape a young woman/BB, but a couple of girls, who (I agree with the shrink mentioned by "MO") giggle based on nervous energy should be kicked out of the game as quickly as possible. Let me put it this way: Why favor Hitler but not Mussolini?

Anonymous from California: Why can't someone root for people on a case by case basis? My opinions on reality contestants aren't going to be entirely rational, or consistent, and neither are yours or anyone else's. Me rooting for Dick Donato is entirely separate of my feelings towards PG and Jaime. Different people, different games. Big Brother is individual, Survivor is teams. PG and Jaime really rubbed me the wrong way. Sexism has nothing to do with it. Please, let it go people.
