That was the most frustrating episode of Survivor I've seen in years. Maybe ever. Survivor: China had begun so promisingly. Prior to last night's abomination, the season was full of physical and well-planned challenges, two distinct tribes boasting vastly different identities, and tribal councils in which there were no slam dunk decisions. Then came last night, when the Survivor producers panicked and decided to shake up the tribes. Usually, I'm OK with switching up the tribes, but what they did last night was shameful, really bastardizing the entire game, or at least everything that came before the tribe switch. If you didn't happen to watch Survivor: China last night, each tribe was told to choose two members from the opposing tribe to come join theirs. So, the two strongest members from each tribe traded places, instantly altering the balance of power and allowing two spineless ladies to pull off the most despicable Survivor move imaginable: throwing a challenge. click here to read the rest of the article: http://www.buddytv.com/articles/survivor/survivor-china-the-unforgivabl-12697.aspx

Calm down man. Finally there is some one, who thinks strategically. This was one of the best eps. ever and one of the best decisions ever! Finally some interesting girls on the show in a long time. And their loughing was totally apropriate. They really looked like two idiots, as they said. And James and Aaron were really stupid, if they did´t see it coming. It just WAS funny. I was just sad for James and his frustration and Eric and his feel of being little betrayed and manipulated. It wasn´t nice decision, but it was really smart and therefor I´m aprooving it. Blame just production, for the wrong decision. They should pick four strongest players, put them in one team, put the rest in another team and see what is going to happen. Sorry my poor english. PS: I still think, their decision is going to bite them in their butt anyway. Old zhan-hus will make new friends in Fei-long and two girls are going to get kicked anyway. Or they´r going to pay at final tribal council, if they´ll get

I agree with the Anon poster above. I think it was a strategic move given their current situation and knowledge. If all goes to plan, they can whittle down members of the opposing tribe so that their tribe has the numbers after a merge. However, that could be the fault in their strategy. We have seen one season of survivor where they did not do a merge until one tribe was down to a single person ... so it could happen again. But, given what they know and the liklihood of a merge happening, it was a sound move. Perhaps it could have been executed a bit more deceptively but then again it was entertaining as it played out.

It was a very smart move. But, if the girls are going to escalate this to playing hardball, they should expect James to respond in kind. By doing this and showing no respect, they almost guaranteed themselves second place at best. The other team and tribe members are going to know what they did and the jury will almost certainly hold it against them. Erik certainly didn't seem too pleased with what they had done, I believe because it had an underhanded and dishonest tone to it. The right strategic move, executed badly.

I disagree. This is the second most despicable thing ever done on Survivor. Now if they had invoked a dead grandmother, they might have made first place.

The plan was brilliant. It's how weaker people have to play to win. The execution was what stunk. The laughter and the smirks crossed the line for me. They could have managed without that and kept votes ... now? bah ...
