My observations.. on the couple that stuck out to me..

Michael and Nick. i love Michael! he's adorable. and i feel so sorry for him to be paired with nick the homophobic snob. Nick is actually more feminine than michael! ugh. Nick, who wears only wears prada and Dior.. ew.

Kat and Esmerelda. Kat was so snobby! she wouldnt talk to the other rich kids. she didnt even try. And esmerelda tried to help her, but kat was just too stuck up to talk to the other people so she got voted out. along with poor esmerelda.

and the gal with the dog.. why?! haha. paris wannabe.

i'll have more observations later.

yeah i saw the premiere of survival of the richest as well....those rich kids are seriously buggin!!! nick gets on my nerves the most! i can't beleive how they act. i know kat didnt get along witn anyone, but out the of the rich kids, at least she kept it the realest and it was unfortunate to see her go so soon.

i was happy for johanna and i think marcus is hilarious. i can't wait until johanna starts tvj'ing cuz i want to know if these rich kids are really like that or if they just say those things for the show.

i'd have to disagree with salty about kat. i didnt think she was stuck up at all. all the rich kids did was stay up late and talk about how rich they are and how they wash their hair with bottled water. they're just a clique and i thought it was fine that kat didnt want to be a part of that superficial chatter. she hung out with esmeralda which i woulda rather done than hang with the other rich kids.

Here's what others thought about the Survival of the Richest candidates...so I reserve my right to take back that I want to meet Kat's brother...sounds like a creepy family...

Ugh! Spoiled rich kids

"Survival of the Richest" is probably the last reality show to be introduced on the soon-to-disappear WB, and there is nothing pleasant about it.
Seven rich kids, with a combined net worth in the area of $3 billion, share living quarters and work assignments with seven blue-collar types, who supposedly have racked up $150,000 in debt among them.
Based on their performance doing tasks such as waiting tables, cleaning toilets and picking crops, one rich and one poor player are eliminated at the end of each episode. The last twosome left standing will split $200,000, a windfall to one, a pittance to the other.
The priority apparently was finding only detestable children of privilege.
Sammy, who comes from Afghan royalty, refuses to share a room with someone she considers beneath her.
Kat, a daughter of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, agreed to play to relieve her "chronic boredom."
Hunter brags that he likes to give waitresses a hard time until they cry, then see if he can get them to sleep with him.
They're an easy group to despise when pitted against Johanna, a single mother who makes ends meet on $400 a week, and Tracy, who did volunteer missionary work in Ethiopia.

Ok, taking your dog with you everywhere you go is definitely a bizarre fashion statement, but let's think about what kind of fashion statement that kid T.R. is trying to make. Somebody needs to teach that boy how to dress!

I think it looks like a really interesting mix though. But how were the contestants chosen? For example, since when does $1,200 of debt (Esmeralda) qualify you as poor?

yeah, some of those poor kids were not very "poor"... they're just a bunch of middle-class kids who spend too much money on their clothes to put them into debt. (Tracy or Esmerelda anyone?)

I know there are some that are truly poor.. they shouldve got some REAL poor people. people from the projects. they're more real than these kids!
