Oh, I find it totally believable that angels don't stink, even if they didn't take a bath for millenia. God works in mysterious ways.

2 observations:

1) Master Kripke rocks at these panels. Why the heck doesn't he do more cons! He's a natural. Come to Asylum Eric Kripke! I feel it's petition time. Seriously, we should think of something and contact Rogue Events.

2) Most of the questions from people were directed at Eric. Which only prooves my above point.

Hey, I am NOT insane! I'm CRAZY! There's a difference, ya know!

No, I highly doubt Cas bathes. He angelically keeps his clothes dapper (I'm sorry, really; I love seeing him look good, but it's just so funny! Angels are fussy beings, aren't they?! Maybe it makes sense. Ohhh, wait; it does! Angels live in heaven and everything's all clean and lovely. They probably find the world and the living things in it appallingly stinky/filthy! They may just reflexively keep their vessels clean and dapper; to be able to feel as much like themselves as they can! Oh, wow, I'm a genius! I'm totally fine with Cas's hygiene powers now! Seriously! Thank you, self, for explaining things!), so I'm sure he angelically keeps Jimmy clean (AND HIS HAIR NICE! LOL!!! Angel hair products; the best there are!)

And, Calena, I couldn't disagree more. Misha brings it with Cas so well, he'd be Cas in a clown suit. I'm not kidding. And seeing Cas wearing more casual clothes would lend an air of . . . I don't know the exact word(s) so I'll just say vulnerablility, even though it's not quite right. . . but just something so .. . irrisistable & sweet and darling I'd melt! Think about it; think hard.

It only prooves that Eric is the creator of the show, so everyone has always a lot of questions for him!! :P

LOL!!! I'm so gonna ask Misha if Cas ever takes a bath or if he's smelly... and if he can work with washing machine I mean in Asylum.... hope he's coming *scared as hell*

Eric rocks!! I think I wrote that in Misha's thread. I love his interview as well, althought it was short one,too... All of those guys are so symphatetic, have a great sense of humor, are so smart... Awwww....

Does he shave his vessel, too? I'm sorry it might sound bad, but seriosly.... and who's cutting his hair?? it's growing isn't it... Hmm, Cookie you really made us think

Sure, he does all of that! Just magically keeps his vessel as close to the way it was when he vesselled it. Including keeping the stubble! OK, so he misses with the hair now and again, but I guess the wind blows it around while he's flying and the hair is the last detail he gets to. I'm cracking myself up! I'm serious, though, about what I'm saying. It's probably just reflexive. I doubt the angels conciously think, "Hm, I look a mess! Just look at these ugly blood stains! No, that won't do at all! *FWAAM!*" and they're dapper again.

Honestly, I hadn't thought about it until I was writing that last post. Sometimes that's how ideas come to me. It makes total sense to think they'd want to stay clean and nice, seeing as how they must be just spotless & perfect when they're unvesselled.

And, a little note on vesselling, I'm not very thrilled with the writers seeming to waffle on vessels. In the beginning, Cas tried to contact Dean sans vessel. But now Zach says of vesselling, "Those are the rules," or however he said it. Silly. Such an obvious device for explaining Lucifer vesselling. I say it was unneeded. Of course Lucifer would want to be able to be seen/endured by any human; not just special ones. Explanation built right in. No need to suddenly make vesselling "the rule." Pssh.

I'm so not gonna pop in your conversation about Cas' clothes . Particularly the trench one (may I remind you... IT IS JOHN CONSTANTINE -LIKE TRENCH - you really don't go changing it . Period.). But have to say, I was kinda shocked about those five minutes they let us see . The show has damn good moments of dark humour, but it also has its moments of damn poor and bad humour - and that scene was one of those moments . And it made me sad - them joking on Jimmy's dead body, yeah, freaking hilarious . I hope that's not gonna be the tune in the premier of the season 5 . But yes, I have my trust to the master Kripke and the writers. Sorry 'bout the nagging, it was just a little disappointment for me . And even though I'm not as much into Jimmy as Cookie, his death still breaks my heart. But what becomes to fans laughing at the scene - well, I thought might it just be partly all this waiting and partly the thrill of being there? Sitting on their own sofa at their own house it might not feel so funny and laughable. Just thinking.

Thanks for feeling some of my pain, Suzie! I hope you're right about it hitting those laughing fans differently at home.

I adore this show, but I'm not one who refuses to see any wrong in it. I am pretty critical. I love about 98% of the humor it has. But this was just a misstep for me. No big, hairy deal. I'm not wailing to the heavens or composing hate mail for Eric. I just didn't appreciate it; it wasn't cool. That's all. Bad enough they (most likely) killed Jimmy; didn't have to rub salt in the wounds with inappropriate humor. *shrug*

I forgot who said something about Cas being able to heal Jimmy's vaporized body (was it you, helps?) But it just seems to me that'd be outside the scope of his powers. If he could do that, why would the arch bother blowing him up in the first place? I appreciate you trying to soothe me, though. Thanks, pal! *hug*

As to the coat, I don't look at the show as a thing. Like an iconic comic booky--movie-ish--whatever kind of thing. I don't know how to explain myself, but it's like it's real in a sense. The charcters matter in a realistic sense. No, not that I'm insane and think it's for real, but. . . oh, I have no idea how to explain myself. I guess I can only say Cas is Cas. Not CASTIEL THE SUPERNATURAL ANGEL! TM. He's not an icon; he's a being. I don't need some trademark/iconic outfit to make him that to me; nor will he lose any of his Casness if he removes it. Misha is fully capable of being full-on Cas to the max at all times under any conditions. That sounds crazy. I'm sorry if I can't make sense. But you should, in fact, be used to that by now!

I think I know what you mean. I am crazy too, because I have converstions with both characters and actors and writers in my head. Yes, I know, pathetic, and I should get a life. It's nice how they always agree with me after a heated discussion in the end, though.

However Castiel for me is an icon. So I cannot easily picture him in different clothes. Like I cannot picture the brothers in Hawai shirts. Actually we don't anything about the kind of clothes Castiel himself would like to wear. Maybe he's into suits (would be a pity, I don't like them). Probably Castiel doesn't give much thought to that because he's really busy with different things.

For me Castiel is both icon and a being. But I'm entouched with the coat because I just love John Constantine and his dark and sarcastic ways and I love that Kripke brought some part of him to Castiel. I don't want to loose that part. And I've always loved when characters get their own "trademark", I just simply love that. That's also one reason I don't want him to change that coat. I love "trademarks", I get kicks from them .

Oooh this is so funny!! I'm glad you proccesed this thought out. I really should ask Misha how it comes Cas isn't smelly or if he takes the bath ..... also if he uses washing machine.... oooh... you've made a point my dear...
THat's really funny. I know Misha doesn't wanna go around in bloody, dirty trench coat the entire week, lol but it really doesn't make too much of sense that his trench coat is always like brand new. I get he can heal the vessel, but your theory about healing the clothes doesn't fit me too much
Ahhhhhhhh *Gasp* Castiel has a wardrobe full of trench coats and everytime he justs change for the new one. But it's not good economization.....

That's the thing. I don't think that they're all white as snow and keep themselves clean. Misha once said that the way we see angels is a very modern opinion that as we know now, they're more like warriors, so I'd think Cas isn't making the laundry on weekends I'd think he doesn't care....
But I guess I've got few questions for next year's Asylum XD

Hmm. I guess, you're right. the thing is if Lucifer would be able to fight on the Earth if he didn't have vessel. I mean, come on if there was only light or smoke flying around that would be kind of lame right. I agree that they didn't have to make "the rule" out of it. You're overthinking it again -- Kripke would have told you, lol.

On the serious note I am there with Calena and Suzie -- I simply can't imagine Cas in different clothes. It's really like his trademark and I think if they changed it'd take away part of his charisma.

Oh, Calena, how much do I adore this?! LOTS! Not that I would ever admit to such a thing, of course.

I guess trademarky/iconic things kind of knock me out of that sense of realism. *shrug* I love the way Cas looks in the outfit. I'm just saying I'd still love the way he looked without it and he'd still be every inch Cas to me. (Like Dean's leather jacket is iconic; but he doesn't wear it all the time and he's still every inch Dean to me.) And it'd be more realistic. I love to be drawn in; to have a feeling that this is really happening or could happen. Just love that feeling. I know. I am loony. I've known for a very long time.
