I agree with you.. It might be because I didn't understand at all what they were saying, not even Chuck's talk, but I didn't find anything funny about Castiel exploding and so.... Now, don't think I'm complaining. I dont think humor in the show would ever mind me, but I just wouldn't laugh like all the fans there...

Im leaving now,too... wakes up early tomorrow.. will be grateful for any transcript!

see ya

Unhappy Please Try to Understand

Hey, I'm all for some dark humor/gallows humor, whatever. But there is a right time and place for it. And joking over poor Jimmy's remains--Jimmy who sacrificed and endured so much--was just disrespectful and out of place. Jimmy exploded into smithereens! HA HA! Hilarious! I wonder how hilarious Clair and Amelia will think it is? Perhaps they, too, will have funny quips to amuse us with. I wonder what material they'll compare his exploded remains to? Sorry for the bitterness. But I think it's warranted. I like dark humor. The show is usually great with it. But a good character joking about an even better character's death doesn't amuse me.

Please, Show (Cas in particular), please don't let this be the only acknowledgment of the man's sacrificial death! I'm sure, if Jimmy was aware of what was happening, he was behind Cas all the way. After all, his wife and kid are a couple of the eggs the angels don't mind breaking to make their apocalyptic omelette.

Red face I'm fine & don't judge you or anyone!

I dunno. I won't judge it until I see the whole episode. I was surprised that everyone was laughing out loud over "Castiel exploded", but I didn't hear the damn thing, plus when Castiel is coming back, there's gotta be something in this ep. I agree that joking over Jimmy's death isn't quite proper. But still it wasn't at least Castiel who would made silly comments, but Chuck?! I don't know. I didn't understand what they said, except the fact that he had Jimmy's teeth in his hair ....

TBH, I found fans laughing more improper then scene itself. I would say the scene was any mych disrespectful, but when fans laughed like crazy it looked kinda weird....
But don't worry, maybe in the context of whole ep, it won't look so bad ...
I think we're overthinking it again, lol

Cookie, what is it with your fixation that Castiel should wear different clothes? The trenchcoat is actually a cool item of clothing, as shown by Highlander, and I think the good guy in the first terminator wore one, too.

What shoes does Castiel wear, btw?

I think that trenchcoat is cool!! Agree. I don't mind a lot. On the other side they're partly filling my wish that Cas would become more human and kinda "hunter", but I also wished for him torned jeans and black t-shirt... some cool stuff ^^ But I guess, it's Cas. Like Bobby where you can bet on him wearing baseball cap ...

I think he's got some kind of classic black shoes....

OK, you asked for it! I like Cas's outfit. But I have a huge, detailed, involved imagination, girls. I think about the show in realistic terms. I don't know how to explain this without sounding insane; esp. before I've had breakfast. But I'll try. I think the more realistic aspects a surrealistic show can feasibly work in, the better; it helps me more easily buy the crazy stuff it's selling. And there's simply no realistic, logical reason this angel should keep the same clothes on all the time; not even bothering to shed the coat when he's fighting. And I also find the idea that he has magical clothes washing & repairing powers kind of funny (why would an angel even care if there are holes or blood stains on his clothes?! He's an angel; doesn't he have larger concerns?!). I'm guessing he has magical bodily hygiene powers as well. I guess Cas never has to bathe. He just goes around, angel fresh all the time. I don't know, it just kind of amuses me. Also, esp. if he's going to be living more like a human and especially if he's going to be hunted, it makes sense that he'd want to assimilate a little more. And he can feel; he has nerve endings too; wouldn't he like to be more comfy? I can't help it, I guess I have a very detail-oriented mind. That's all.

Helps, you weren't kidding about Jim's interview! It's the best one I've ever seen and he is just totally, totally cool! 100%! I love how he's so smart and well-spoken, yet seems totally down to earth, like he's your cool uncle or your buddy next door! Love him! And I'm finding myself more excited and intrigued by Bobby's upcoming storyline than anyone else's; I guess because he says it's so shocking and unexpected and huge. And we know the least about it. I just hope it's nothing bad! Is he going to be an angel or what?! I really don't want him to be magical. I don't want anyone on Team Winchester to be magical but Cas. I can barely stand Sammy being magical. Heroes are so much more meaningful when they're just human.

Cookie I agree that Misha would look hot in torn jeans and a tight black t-shirt. But it's just not Castiel.

You are discriminating against magical beings! I get what you are saying. Personally I have no preference to either one or the other. There can be a lot of inner conflict and interesting stuff going on with a "magical" character, too. See Anakin Skywalker and our very own Sam.

You crack me up with Cas and taking/or not the bath..... Maybe he gets smelly Come on, he's sweating isn't he... If he doesn't take the bath, he's gonna be smelly... if he does take the bath why he can't change his clothes?
