Amen, smiley! Wow, you're more patriotic about Independence Day than most Americans! That little speech should be published! "Fourth of July." Pffft. How idiotic is that?! It DOES belittle the holiday! It'll probably end up just being called "Fireworks Day" in the near future! "Mommy, why do we shoot off fireworks on Fireworks day?" Mom: "Umm. . . I don't know, really. Something about America? *shrug*"

LOL... You laugh, but seriously... If you ever get around to meeting my ten year old Mini Me, then you are in for a treat if you want to talk American History.... You'd want to have been a fly on the wall when he went thru his random historical lists phase, all random lists of example, the names and order of all US Presidents to date... or the list of all 55 + names on your Declaration Of Independance, which was signed on the 4th of July, 17 hundred and something... also the whole point of why you Americans celebrate the day as it was the day that the Declaration is widely said to have got passed through Congress I believe... or rather the specific wording of it...

Not so many Americans know though, that that wasn't actually the correct date, it was actually sometime this month, in mid august... as those who were to sign the Declaration all didn't fully sign it til then thus making it actually invalid til the last signature!!!

I know this cause I have already gone through this lecture with my son, who co-incidentally had this really weird obsession with Benjamin Franklin for a while too... God only knows why... He also went through a phase of memorising the wording of the Declaration... something about 'persuit of life and happiness' comes to mind, but little else cause God forgive me... I sort of fell asleep at that stage....

It doesn't as such make me patriotic, just interested in history of the world...
Besides, it's truly hard not to when Mini Me is such a nerd for historical things.... seriously he is already planning out the trips to museums and castles etc... once we are in Prague and Vienna over this coming week... gone are the days when I could sit on a beach somewhere catching some rays...

Cookie, I would love vampires back. That's about my only gripe with season 4, that we didn't get a vamp ep. Vampires happen to be my favourite supernatural creatures. If I could have been bothered to stand in mic line at Asylum, that would have been one of my questions, if we get vamps in S5. I'd have told J2M they should tell Master Kripke I want at least one vamp ep each season! I thought it was a nice tradition to do one per season, I'm sad they didn't include one in S4.
Anyway, Cookie are you aware that the actress who played Lenore was in Buffy? Not as a vampire, though, but as a witch.
And when we speak of Buffy - again! - the vampire girl in the S3 ep Fresh Blood, who didn't know she was a vampire, was in Buffy and Angel too. She even was a vampire!

Hey, they even made a movie called Independence Day. Then again, there's one called 4th of July, too, if I'm not mistaken, the Tom Cruise one.

I'd like to get some more vampires and yes - keep the monster hunting on every once in a while, don't bury it to the backside! But what becomes to vampires - I didn't like Lenore . I don't know why, but I felt in every scene she was in like there's something missing in her. And she almost annoyed me (and still I don't know why, it was just something in her, and in her acting - she didn't convinced me).

And oh, please - bring the TRICKSTER and ASH back! God how I miss them both. I believe, deeply and unconditionally that he is still alive. Bring some supernatural things to join the goodies' team - you know, all gathering together to face the bigger threat, the bigger danger. Different and opposite sites are forgotten because there is a cause for everybody on the Earth to gather together to fight against the Hell and the Heaven. I still like a lot the idea that humans and other things on Earth - right in the middle of the fighting groups - gather together to keep (or maybe gain) the Earth to themselves, to us, free from the both sides. It would include also the "fallen" angels (who haven't fallen to Hell, but to Earth) who don't want to go back to Heaven nor join Lucifer and it also could include demons who don't want to go back to Hell but have made themselves comfortable here, who have blend in, so to speak. Even though I doubt we ever gonna trust them and believe them to be really in our side. But the angels who aren't serving the Heaven anymore (like Cas and Anna, and I wouldn't be suprised if there were more of them).
