| Smiley, go and check the Supernatural's imbd-boards! There were some talking about that some other channel has bought the right for season 5.

| Oh thank the Lord.... Seriously, ITV do my head in here.... if it's not a soap it's not worth putting on that channel... they have soaps on there that are actually older then I am.... HONESTLY!!! They wouldn't know a good show if it bit them on the ass!!! Oh I am in such a mood tonight.... I may just take myself off to bed.... cause I think I may actually kill someone if I stay up and awake.... first in line of fire will be my darling son who has made the rather silly decision to choose to sit down now and watch 'SW, The Clone Wars...' that really bad cartoon thing... rather then anything at all else on on any of the other 500 TV channels he keeps telling me we have.... Suzie ... must be Channel 5 who have bought the rights to the show then.... BBC tends to stay clear of those type of shows... they tend to prefer 'Songs Of Praise' and Cop shows.... Channel 4 would show a whole hour of watching paint dry and then actively campaign to do a follow up return visit to the wall to see how the paint is doing now... and Sky 1 tends to just do Stargate etc.... so at a pure guess I would think Channel 5.... cause it isn't picky... except when it decides that it's best to do that constant loop of Arnie and Chuck Norris movies over and over... again... oh and for comedy value, they put on Hot Shots 1 & 2 as thier 'best'... Men In Black tends to get several outings too.... Hmmm... in a weird way, I'm thinking SPN would be most at home there.... Darn ITV.... Oh I can't moan about them enough tonight.....

| Living???? ROFL..... Oh I bet they sandwich the show in between eps of John Edwards Cross Country show and Roma Downey's angel thing... seriously, that womans voice truly grates on me... I have never ever heard such a sweet lully like voice ever before in my entire life.... honestly.... the content of the show, if I watch it at all has to be viewed with the sound down and the subs on, ... LOL.... Living Channel.... seriously.... OMG... it's going to get well lost on there.... Only the hardened die hard fans of the show will be able to work out it's tv schedule on that channel.... ITV.... YOU SHOULD ALL BE THOROUGHLY ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES FOR YOUR OBVIOUS MISTAKE HERE!!! Hello To LIVING TV CHANNEL..... Smiley's new favourite TV Channel for this next year!!!! Thank you Suzie for the update info...

| I would not worry about the show's lifespan yet. There really is no way to know for sure how long the show will last. It could go beyond 5 seasons, possibly reaching 6 or even 7 seasons. Ideally, it would be great if SPN could go on for many more seasons, but I don't know how feasible it is. The biggie for me is the Apocalypse and freeing of Lucifer. Judging from the point the story is currently at, I'd be inclined to believe Kripke and company have an end in sight. They could possibly try to stretch out the Lucifer storyline and have it last a few seasons, but at some point there has to be a resolution. yes, ratings have a major impact on the longevity of a show, but there is something else to consider as well: what the writers are able to come up with. It could get to a point where the Kripke and company feel like there is nothing more they can do with the show. I don't know what's in their minds, but I don't think they'd want to take too many backsteps and do things they've already done with the story and the characters. Some fans might appreciate things going back to the way they were in season one, but Kripke might not feel the same way. It would be counter effective for the story, IMO...and I'm sure there are others who feel the same way. I disagree about the ending of SPN. I personally would prefer to see a satisfying conclusion where issues are resolved and we are left with some sort of idea about what the future holds for the characters. I would feel immensely cheated if the series ended with something like one of the stand-alone episodes we've seen or anything else that doesn't provide closure. It would kind of leave the same feeling as it would if, say, if the show had been cancelled mid-season. I'm not quite as optimistic when it comes to shows in general. I know that even some of the greatest shows can make mistakes and end up turning into shows that are no longer great or even close to completely terrible. I absolutely hate it when I fall head over heels for a show and praise it for its quality and intellectual substance, only to have it turn into generic crap--mindless, ridiculous, implausible, and so on. So far, SPN has a good record. I think part of its appeal is that Kripke has kept the tension building with each season. Each season is darker and more multilatered than the previous, and it leaves the viewer in suspense, waiting for a release. I don't want the show to continue if Kripke's vision is going to be completely abandoned and the show is going to morph into something completely predicatable and cliche.

| Something Master Kripke said worries me. He said he woudln't water down S5 and finish "this chapter" as he intended to. While this certainly makes for a brilliant season, I find myself wondering, what the hell ( Will S6 really be about aliens and robots? When Master Kripke first made it known he isn't totally opposed to S6, I assumed he'd give us more stand alone eps this season and stretch the apocalypse arch over 2 seasons, which would have been fine by me.

| Senior Member | He said he doeasn't wanna stretch the arch only to make it to more seasons, but I believe they don't have to kill off/ send Lucifer back to the pit in this season... I believe they could make it longer ...

| No disrespect at all here...but since, we fans all know without a doubt that Eric Kripke does actually possess a solid brain in his head....and whilst he listens to views of all his fans... still will go with his gut feeling and do his thing anyway, therefore not being easily swayed by others about him.... UNLIKE THE CREATORS AND WRITERS OF ANOTHER ONCE TOP SHOW WE COULD MENTION!!! <--- and yes I am referring to Prison Break here.... I'm sure Kripke has now a wealth of ideas he can build on this year and for S6 too.... He has taken his time bringing the right actors on board in the show, ones who are dedicated to what they are doing.... ones who actually look like they are having the time of their lives doing the long 12hr+ days ... ones, who all more importantly, stay in touch with their fans, ones who respect them, ones who realise who exactly have elevated them to where they all are today.... Of course, I expect them all to stay around and therefore give Kripke a wealth of storywriting ideas to mix all up.... even the minor actors have remained loyal to the show.... ones like the young Sam Winchester, Mary Winchester... oh how I hate to plump Bobby in with this lot.... and oh how I would love to add John Winchester to it.... Reports are about that Jessica character and Grandad Winchester are both due back for guest appearances.... to date, I haven't heard one actor, who ever they are or who ever big or small a role in the show, say a bad thing about the show in any interview etc... following their appearance in it... so as a show, things must be going well in it!!! The show has attracted some big name actors/actresses in the past.... my particular one off favourite is Gary Cole... I had such a crush on that guy when he used to do that late night radio cop show... Storywise though.... Kripke has a wealth of mini storylines he can pull from... totally separate from each other, yet all including the boys in some way or another... He has the trusty Ghostfacers to fall back on.... I champion them and always have, for me they are really funny.... others see them as being totally pointless... but they do add some necessary humour to the story at intervals.... then we have the whole Winchester family background story.... pre death of Mary days.... the build up as to why John was like he was and why they were chosen or rather chose to take that road in life.... then there's Missouri, the psychic... she's a blast.... they should be more of her.... Bobby... more Bobby please.... Return of Henrickson... CMW is a brilliant actor... always championed by his fans... there must be some way to bring him back to the story... he'd make a damn good demon, I think.... Even the man himself told me at recent Con, he would love to return at any time!!! Jessica back story.... I am plumping for more of a story there then what we have seen to date.... no dispute here that she ended her days stuck to a ceiling, on fire with blood dripping from her stomach... same as Mary did.... the YED took her... so then in theory, although we don't yet know, but what did she do to have the YED come claim her soul too??? She may have even been just a fill in to keep Sam where he was til he was needed .... I dunno.... her story interests me and always has.... maybe that's why she is on her way back.... And then there is the random eps with the actual myths and legends... the vampires that need slaying... the werewolves... the Reapers... the Bender Family type oddballs.... [you all know who much I truly love that whole ordinary family gone mad idea]... the weirdo Docs in the Asylum type places .... the random ghosties.... even the creatures up the mountains who only get killed by fire and a bug spray.... they could do a 'Bugs 2'..... a kind of homage to the first Bugs ep, they didn't actually like.... Another funny ep covering a festive occasion maybe??? .... what have we not covered yet? St Patrick's Day.... Yep.... despite the fact that people celebrate the day all about the world, even a big chunk of America seems to make it their own day... with the leprechauns, the banshees... the superstitions connected with the day.... we still don't get those two boys join a St. Pat's Parade... What festive days not covered are still about? Thankgiving? Ummm.... Independance Day... St George's /St. David's Day with all the dragon myths... oh I dunno.... so much to choose from... so many ways the show could splinter off into for an ep or two.... Bottom line here is... Kripke's very highly thought of reputation is on the line here... he and his team of writers have set the bar so high to date that they have done such a top show that some believe that soon, the only direction for them will be down, they are so good! I don't envy their job as it stands now, but I do very highly support and respect them!!! I seriously doubt that Kripke would make such a bold move as to add a full further season to the show unless he had the backup and vision to support seeing it through!!! I, for one am in for the ride til the very end!!!!

| I sincerley thank you smiley, for the much needed "In Eric Kripke We Unwaveringly Trust" speech. Every once in a while I get doubts and worry about how they're gonna pull it off, to stay on top of the game, where they certainly are now. I wander in the Valley of Darkness and despair overcomes me, for a mere mortal as I cannot see how they will do it. So I need someone to pull me out, kick me in the ass, and make me see the light again: Master Kripke is a genius who won't let us down! (no pressure at all here, EK! Thank you smiley. ![]()
