I am of the strong opinion it does reveal things about one's personality whether you are a Sam girl or a Dean girl and why, or changed from a Dean girl into a Sam girl and why or vice versa or are yet or again undecided.
I gotta agree here. I think it reveals a lot about one's personality - if you're a Dean/Sam girl... For example take you. You love hair... That's the lesson I've got from you being a Sam girl lol....

Smiley greatly written. Both of you - You and Drama are awesome mods. We couldn't wish for better ones. And that's nice that you are both a bit crazy, too *runs&hides* lol I'm happy you discuss show with us and not just go around and watch out for what we do

I don't really understand how they can be like that on the CW. Drama said that - they talk like that in the show. Dean say son of bitch every episode, they're callin themselves asses and so. I think that all fans who watch show knows those words,so it's a nonsense to get banned.
I understand that if someone used those expressions in every post and throw them around that it wouldn't be quite nice, but if you quote the show and talk about certain scene, I'd think it's absolutely ok...

What??????? ROFL..... They all have a pair of ankles.... even the evil demon like ones.... and you all know, Smiley has this thing about ankles.... but that still doesn't mean I favour one of them over the other for it.....
That's a real girlie statement saying... 'I love the hair!!!' .... Almost like it can at a moments notice, grow it's own pair of legs and start doing it's own demon hunting.... That would be fun btw..... a big load of nicely shampooed hair with sideburns for legs roaming round the place wiping out demons as it went....

In fairness though, I took over these managing these threads from a really top Mod in Terri!!! She along with both Drama & Sonny have, to their credit been the only few Mods who have still been there til today since their appointment with so many others quite a while ago now... and have had til very recently, had less support and back up then wht was required for them.... thus making their jobs so much harder to manage then need have been!!! All changed now... more hands on deck with the deadwood been cast adrift and all that... so new start etc... But as said, in fairness to Terri, she has done a top job in keeping these threads running so well until I took over... when of course.... 'All Hell Breaks Loose!!!!'..... Hahahahahahahaha.... See what I did there..... How I link things up on here?..... that's super that..... done before, many times.... I'm sure.... but still good for me.... ROFL....

As I said... a fine balance should be in place... along with good common sense... boards do peak in between working well and running low from time to time, it very much depends on who frequents them and the amount of conversation etc... going thru them.... you can have a board of 500 people frequenting them but still be lonely on there if no one converses with you... or the best conversations with the busiest boards ever with just a mere handful of people/users who all understand each other....

And back on topic..... I have changed my mind on the original topic here.... I don't think it would ever work with two Winchester sisters instead of the boys as the girls would analyse every single detail of every plotline way too much.... every emotion would be pulled to a merciful death and most demons would be let off with a warning as we women are usually a softer touch..... yes indeed, also if one of us ever ended up in Hell, our first point of order would most probably be getting round Lucifer to splash a lick of more nutreul colours on the walls as a way of toning down all those harsh fiery red colours on the walls!!! I, for one would probably also invest in some long wearing but comfy couches and three piece suites for Hells Lounge and instead steer Lucifer and Alastair away from their views that the rack is the most obvious place of comfort down there in Hell..... as as for all those random meathooks that were used to disfigure Dean and countless others.... well, only a man would ever think that they were a necessary ornamental feature in a house like Hell..... I'd, along with any other demon hunting woman would get rid of them for a start.... and sprinkle about some pots of pot pourri and a few scatter cushions that would match the now newly nicely coloured magnolia walls down there in Hell....

Yes.... so many differences between men and the ladies.... I'm not so sure even a man as clever as Kripke could handle that one..... Good luck to him if he ever tries though.....

Hahah Smiley nice speech . You really do feel like the president of the SPN board don't you ? Just please, please don't start giving us weekly 'Addresses to the Board' LOL

Also Drama, did the new colleague help you in your desicion to become a mod again? (I wasn't hallucinating, you took a break from modding for a while, didn't you?)
Yes I did take a break, you were not having any acid flashbacks lol. Actually it had nothing to do with Smiley or little leprechauns that frequent the MiSa sections of the board. It was through several email discussions with our new Admin RachelMC that I decided to come back.

OK, first thing, smiley? Your explanation for why female Winchesters wouldn't have worked is hilarious! One of my favorite things about coming here is that you people are funny! I can always use a good laugh, and I get one regularly here! From the witty to the insane, I can count on some post to make me laugh on pretty much any given day! Thanks for that! In the humor, though, I actually found a bit of a point! Women do tend to be more sympathetic and nurturing. We do tend to have a thing for finding the good in people & clinging to it for all it's worth, despite the bad that may be overwhelming it, and saving people. A lot of us tend to be drawn to troubled guys; you know, guys who seem basically really good, but who are damaged (which is usually to our detriment, from what I can tell). I can so see an episode where a Winchester girl is feeling sorry for some demon and trying to sympathize with it, Sammy x 10 style! "Aww, you were just confused out of grief and went astray, then got sent to hell and had your humanity burned away! You poor baby!"

As to cussing, believe me, I'll try to abide by the rules, promise! But I do just have to say that if one is allowing one's child to watch a show which uses profanity, then I don't see why one would be upset if one's child visited a forum which discusses said show and uses the same profanities in the same way/amounts. I've used profanities here and there that were not direct quotes from the show, but, overall, I haven't used as much in all my posts total as Dean uses over the course of a couple of eps. alone! Sure, if someone's a total potty mouth and throwing f-bombs around, I'd understand being upset. Also, I'm not a "fan" of cussing; as in using it for absolutely no reason (not to express intense emotion [anger/hurt], for amusement, quoting someone, etc.), but, within reason, I think it serves a purpose & is OK. But, honestly, this is a lovely place and should I ever mess up, just let me know and I will gladly make amends!

I agree about excellent posts getting overlooked in the Lounge, too. I'm probably guilty of doing it myself sometimes. There's just soooo much to take in there! So many people, so many posts. Sometimes I'm trying to read all of interest first, then I figure I'll go back and comment on ones that need commenting but I forget or am tired by the time I've read everything! Naughty, naughty E.C.!! I actually prefer forums with fewer members. It's cozier and you "get to know" each other easier.

OK, Calena, these rules you found. Are you telling me you found the specifics of profanity? The term "masked profanity" and the exact definition of it?! If so, wow. I did find the rules too (which go on and on and on) and it's true, I didn't read every single word of them because most of the rules didn't have anything to do with profanities and such. So, IF those very specifics of profanity/masked profanity are in there, they've got to be hidden in among all those rambling paragraphs. Either that or my eyes are seriously failing me! If those specific rules do exist to be found, they should make them SUPER easy for EVERYONE to access. It shouldn't be difficult.

Ahhhhhh... I give up..... ROFL..... I was standing up for all you/us Mods.... Putting an air of mystery about you all knowing people.... ... I shall not bother now in future.... well until early next Saturday morning, when I am up way too early again for my body to cope with and have a pile of caffeine in my system before the rest of me other then my brain wakes up.... ah ha.... you all better make yourselves comfy for part two of this one then.... cause I will just start talking and I may spill it all..... .... Ok truth time.... we're all really lazy ... and just can't be bothered most of the time.... In fact, we aren't even human... we are just machines.... who pretend to be human.... we communicate by counting all the dots on top of letters in each others posts.... we hide hidden codes in them too..... yep.... we are the future....

LOL... As much as I was joking about in my post, I was aware I was making an actual point there in it... much the same as you posted in your above reply.... Glad you saw the point thru the humour...

As a parent of a child who watches the show, I have to say though that it's not as high on profanities etc... as many other things he has access to on TV.... and no, I don't mean that I let him sit down and watch things like The Exorcist... etc.... I'm referring to lots of other PG movies and TV shows.... It's everywhere nowadays... but as a show on TV, overall... I have no problem at all letting my kid see the show as I know it's all tastefully done... he understands the subject matter very well and that type of show interests him greatly.... in fact he is already quite excited about the start of S5 and the arrival of Lucifer.... For a child who watches this type of show, he's actually remarkably religious though.... Kripke mentions the name of an angel or event in the show and he's straight away looking it up to see more background to it.... he really tore the good book to pieces at the time looking for references to Lilith!!!
I was more referring to those who as you say go 'potty mouthlike'.... believe me, you get them on here from time to time.... not lately, but they do appear on the general forums every now and again!!! It's really hard to pick things up for a good while after those....

Oh I dunno..... you could have made a fairly good leprechaun!!! ... That's true, Rachel did tell us she was chatting to Drama for a while about coming back to the fold..... really glad you came back Girlie!!!

I don't know about that. There are tough chicks even in TV-land. I'm not gonna mention Buffy, as to not provoke an allergic reaction. I still haven't watched any Charmed, but did these 3 sisters go easy on supernatural baddies? And what about Sarah Connor? She isn't a compassionate one.
And, like you said yourself, Sam used to see the other side too, hence he listened to the good vampires and he wanted to give that human flesh eating guy a chance. I don't think Winchester Sisters necessarily would have to be bleeding heart liberals, because in that line of "work" you'd be dead very soon if you were.
So I disagree on that point. I mean take Bela. She was just selfish and nothing else.

Ähm, no. I thought we were talking about general rules. Sorry I'm not with it right now, and that has nothing to do with MDD, but with my exam tomorrow I should really really be studying for right now.

I agree with both of you. Smiley&Cookie are right that women are more sensitive etc etc... BUT Cal is right that Kripke or whoever wouldn't write 'em that way. Moreover how I said before, it's too general view on women. Men are weak, too. Look at boys, tho they're crying all the time No no seriously, I think if they wouldn't be written in wussy way, it could work well.

Hm. This is very very random. But wasn't Bella abused when she was a kid? I was quite confused about short flashback at her house. My point is that she was more complex. She wasn't acting like a bi*ch just because she had fun doing that, imo. It was more like self- defensive attitude.

No, that's not random, that's a well thought out point, like all my points are.
She was abused and the bitchy behaviour is self defense, I agree. But for the point I wanted to make it doesn't really matter why Bela isn't more compassionate, just that she isn't. So it's not true that every single human character is compassionate and would talk with a demon about its bad childhood experiences instead of killing it.

Yes, your point is right. You just said that Bella was selfish and nothing else, so I added she was more complex. (but I know that you didn't mean it, but answered what girls talked about).

btw, the random thing I meant was me saying bella was abused and the stuff i wrote lol. not that what you said was random ;P

Well, of course, smiley and I were exaggerating. And of course women can be quite tough. Our point was just that it most likely wouldn't be AS likely to be believable and AS easy to do this exact show with females. EXACT.

And, oops, you mentioned Charmed! Uh oh! Phoebe fell in love with a demon! And I seem to recall some other demon who was good who had demon brothers they saved him from. Soooo . . . yeah. I liked Charmed, by the way. (I really liked it when Drew Fuller . . .HEY, DREW FULLER! [am I getting the name correct?] He's got that slightly fem quality! Ooh, he's delicious, too! What was I saying?! Oh, yeah, when he was on there.) I wasn't nuts about it and sometimes it was too soap-operaish and too out-there (even for the kind of show it was), but, overall, a decent way to kill time when nothing better was on.

If I had something else to say, I can't remember because I'm not as awake as I should be and thinking of Drew distracted me. I'm enjoying my morning!
