| Senior Member ![]() | So after last nights episode, I really started thinking about what exactly is Ruby's endgame and I've come up with a theory. This of course is based on no spoilers and only on what I've seen so far. I may completely throw it out as we see more episodes, but this is what I'm thinking. ![]() Sam is turning a little darker. Not by much, but we saw it when he killed Jake and we saw it again tonight when he killed the two demons. The was a coldness to him. My theory goes like this. Ruby has to have an endgame of some sort. She knows Sam is supposed to be the "boy king" but Sammy is obviously not stepping up to the role on his own. Now Ruby has to have a reason she's fighting on his side. Either she's got some beef with demons or (and this is my guess) she considers the demons she kills collateral damage in the greater good. What I think is going to happen, is she is going to save Sammy's life when it's needed, maybe help him where she can because she needs him. I don't know if I would exactly call it training him, but preparing him, wearing the Samminess down perhaps so he is able to lead an army, even if that army is against her kind. I think the turning point is going to be with Dean's deal. I think she's going to wear Sam down, make him colder and then offer him a deal. He can lead the army of demons as he was always destined to and if he does, either she'll get the crossroads demon to release Dean from his deal, that or with the power of being leader, Sam can order Dean released from him deal. So that's what I think. And it will probably change next week when I see more LOL.

| Senior Member ![]() | I'm not sure, but I think there is something more than just the need to make sure Sam is strong enough to fight demons when Dean is gone. Any hunter can do that, there is something specific about Sam that Ruby is interested. She makes mention that she guesses she bet on the wrong horse. I don't think she's expecting Sam to go and kill all the demons in this demon war, I still think she wants him to lead it. Maybe under the pretense of fighting evil, but forwhatever reason, she knew there was someone vying for his spot as demon king and she came into the picture trying to focus him to survive after Dean's gone. Why would she care that much if demons rein on Earth. She doesn't have a lot of human sympathy. I think there is still an endgame here. I hope we find out more about what exactly it is she wants with Sammy in the next four episodes.

| I wonder if, as a DEMON, she doesn't want a shot at the leadership herself? If Sam was the 'general' or 'leader' and she was the 'power behind the throne' or second in command, she'd be in the catbird seat to betray him after all the hard work is done. Or not. BUT what EVER her deal is, I bet she isn't trying to HELP Dean and Sam. |

| hmm endgame? To take over lucifer? I definitely do not think she is doing it just to 'help them' and go against her kind. or maybe she's on their side for protection? she doesnt seem to have allies on any side-angels or demons |

I was nearly screaming in front of my screen at Sam " WHY DON'T YOU ASK HER WHY SHE CARES ABOUT OCEAN'S OF PPL SO MUCH?WHY DO YOU CARE ABOUT PPL AT ALL.... He could at least ask her why she's helping them.... But nooo, boy doesn't seem to be too interested.... or he really is such a believer in goodness..

| Ruby is definiely evil. She is using Sam for her own agenda. I'm not sure what her "endgame" is but it can't be good. When I asked for my friend's opinion, she thinks Ruby wants Sam's devil baby. I just shudder to think of it. I think Ruby worked with Azael (sp?) and wants to use Sam to take over the world. |
