| Don't you girls follow SuperWiki? They twited this link. It's from the Season 4 boxset, so I suspect the network or whoever makes these decision kinda officially released it on youtube, for advertising purposes, because it sure doesn't look like bootleg. ![]()

| I'm in a pondering kind of mood. As usual, this will be rambling and disordered. My usual Buddies are used to this. If anyone new is reading, well, sorry; stick around and you, too, may get used to it. First, I confess this pondering mood was triggered by watching one of the about 50 "Running Up That Hill" fan vids. This one was focusing on John's deal (the one(s) for this song that focus on his deal is/are the one(s) I like best). It got me thinkin.' Why is Supernatural world like that? What will the show's excuse (if it even addresses this) be for why demons (and Lucifer? Has he been involved with them at all all this time? Filtering orders out among a select few, as with the angels and God? Running things--at least somewhat--from way, WAY behind the scenes?) can and do make such grave, amazing deals, yet there's no bargaining; no deals to be made with angels or God. Doesn't God want our souls as much as Lucifer? Or at least our services? With the demons, getting one's soul is enough for them. They don't ask other deeds. For that matter, what's the big deal about having our souls, anyway? Is hell just super boring and souls are extremely entertaining, or what? With God, he just commands you to do stuff (of his choosing & when he wants) and you either do it and get the reward of heaven, or you don't and go to hell. Or nothing, I guess. I mean, I kind of wonder what would've happened if Jimmy had said "no" to Cas. He never offers any Earthly reward at all (so far as we've seen). "If I only could make a deal with God and get Him to swap our places. . . " But John couldn't do that (or at least didn't think he could). He was forced (or at least felt he was) to make a deal with a demon instead. Same with Dean & Sammy. Why won't an angel make a deal with someone? A soul for a soul? I can understand (sort of) them not granting a deal for vain pleasures, like fame and riches. But granting someone's wish to die in someone else's stead (as long as they're both righteous people)? Why not? Or do you think maybe S. God would've helped John if he'd asked, but John was either an atheist or convinced that God wouldn't help, after all he'd been through and seen? D'ya think God just thinks, "Hey, if you follow my rules, you eventually get to end up in HEAVEN! That should be enough?" That's pretty much how He seems in real-life religion. Like this Earthly life doesn't much matter (unless you piss him off; then he REALLY cares about you and your affairs and will smite you!) and, hey, so what if you suffer while here? You're going to get SUCH a reward in the end! Like He's so disconnected and pretty much only concerns Himself with the goings on of heaven. That does make Lucifer seem a TAD more sympathetic. Like he does, at least, see that THIS life matters, too (or at least we think it does), and that, of COURSE pain and suffering means something. Definitely seems to understand us better--in that regard, at least--than God. But then, he USES that against us, so . . . I'm not feelin' any sympathy for the angel yet. And while we're on the subject of demons and angels, what was it that made Cas download into Claire at the warehouse? What was it that suddenly made him think to set Jimmy free? (He could've dl'd right into Jimmy, healed him in a flash, & kicked ass.) I'm very curious about this. Had he been awakening to the fact that he was suffering & that maybe he should've done a better job preparing him before vesseling him for a while and we just didn't know it and, then, when he made his way back to where he was, just saw a golden opportunity to set him free and made up his mind in a few crazed seconds to go for it? Was he actually feeling so sympathetic toward Jimmy that it made him unable to stop and think of how awful it was to vessel a little girl (however brave and willing she may've been) instead? Or is there something about vesselling a kid that we don't know about? If so, why didn't he just ask her first? Or could there have been some later communication between Claire & Cas we don't know about? I find this interesting and I bet I'll never get the answer. I think they should answer it, though; esp. since some Cas dislikers had a fit that he did that. If they don't answer it, though, I'm going to assume the blinded-by-sympathy-and-guilt theory to be the answer. Either that, or Misha's joking (or WAS it?!) theory about Cas always losing fights because Misha can't throw a punch is true, and they figured they'd better let the little girl (Sidney? Sydney? What's her name?)handle the ass-kicking! (Ohhh, helps is gonna kick MY ass for that one! I'm gonna get blackmailed!)

Religious people tell me god is very sad for every soul that gets thrown into hell (gee, if that's the case I wonder who could do something against this practise!? So what would a deal with god be like? "Hey god, you give me something I really really want, and for that you can have me and I will even spend eternity in heaven!" It's like me telling you, hey Cookie, show me a pic of you with glasses on, and I will really really rewatch SPN seasons 1-4. God considers heaven as a reward, so there's really no room for bargaining with god. God seems to be of the opinion you have to earn heaven, and suffering is a good way to do that. He might be sad when souls go to hell, but not that sad that he'd actually do something about it. Quote:
