Default Asylum UK '10/ Smiley & Co's Return World Trip Of Birmingham 2010
Hello all

Ok EVERYONE!!! ..... We have a full year now to plan this one out to perfection....

Asylum 4 [Houses Of The Holy] Convention is confirmed to be on, on the weekend of 14th-16th May 2010 at the Hilton Met in Birmingham!

You'll all be glad to know that it's first confirmed guest is none other then the brilliant Mr. Jim Beaver!!! [Oh how we truly missed him this year!!! ]

Anyway... No pressure now.... but who wants to make either a return trip to sunny Birmingham OR come along with us for the first time????????

We totally rocked the Hilton joint this year with all our Devils Trap cakes and endless supply of Purple Nurples..... whatever can we add to that next year???????

I can't say much at this stage. I'd love to go, but what about the con in Germany? I don't really think E. will want to come again, and I doubt I'm brave enough to fly on my own. *sigh* It's pretty early, so we'll see.

Find some info on proposed Con in Germany.... and we'll do a thread on it.... I could always take a weekend over in Germany too.... You and Kiki would be the hotel organisers etc.... etc.... You could be Smiley for the weekend!!!

What??? E. doesn't wanna meet me again??? Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.... And I thought we had such a fun together...

I'm still on the fence.. I doubt I could make both cons.. but as I loved how english ppl are all nice, I'd maybe rather go to UK agan.. it was like I hit someone and they turned around and were like "Ooooh sorry!!I'm soo sorry!"... If it were Czechs they would gave me at least really harsh look... :/

No, I fully agree with what you are saying. Not only the crowd in Germany wouldn't be as patient, the hotel staff would probably kill Wayne if he turned the hotel in a literal Asylum with all the lunatics let loose.
The thing is, the German Con is nearer, wouldn't be so long and expensive to travel there, especially if I had to make it there on my own. Other than that I'd prefer the UK. I also doubt I could make it to both cons, but I also never thought I'd be able to go to this one, so who knows. It's very early!

Agree. In Germany it would be less expensive. We will see. I loved Birmingham and all the ppl. It was cool that we were sitting in the line and some othr girl just offered us gummi sweets... I don't know, that's really nice... But I think this would be even in Germany... I'm not sure if I'm able to do to any con at all... but hopefully.... It's DO-ABLE folks. SMiley gave us this lesson!lol
