Supernatural: Episode 3.14 "Long-Distance Call" Recap

Previously on Supernatural: Dean sold his soul to a demon to save his brother, but upon learning that humans in Hell turn into demons, Dean began searching for a way to get out of the deal.

Four weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting the Vancouver set of Supernatural where I got to see them film scenes from tonight's episode. I toured the sets, talked to the stars and watched them film two scenes. As such, you'll have to forgive me when I geek out over stuff like the fact that I totally laid down on the Winchesters' motel bed (and before you ask, no, they weren't in it at the time).

You did an excellent recap BTW and getting to watch those scenes being
filmed is awesomeness itself! Didn't you think Dean was a little hard on
his little brother? What's up with that??? ; )

I loved this episode. This is my favorite type of episodes, I loved the emotional stuff. It breaks my heart to see Dean admit he's scared to go to hell and to see him grasping at the thought of his father contacting him. I loved hearing John's voice. I love the bantering between the brothers. I loved the special effects and the story behind that creature - I thought that was awesome. I laughed several times as well. Overall it blew me away. It's episodes like this that make me walk away saying "damn that show is amazing"

When the boys were sitting on the bed there at the end I would have loved for the phone to ring, Dean to answer it and say "Dad??" Black Screen! THAT would have been an ENDING!

2 things here 1st gunznammo, c'mon youre in the world where you know deaths come knocking at your door how the hell would you react when your brother or sibling knows your day is comin, the last thing you want is exactly what was depicted in tonights episode. so dean script was written very well as well as jensen pulls it off only a great actor can bring their script to life, like jensen does. point blank. 2nd... i just saw a trailer on tv for sex & the city if theyre made a movie out of that show, why the hell has supernatural not been done yet? i guess we gotta wait til it runs its end til its off the air. heres to waiting for the big screen!!!

I absolutely loved this episode and Dean and Sam were great and the brotherly moment was back. I thought the MOTW was cool and when it opened its month to take the soul, ewww! I have one question, how does it know the personal things about people he is calling? Can he read minds or something? Anyway, Dean wanting it to be John on the phone was so heartbreaking and Sam was right in questioning it. Dean wanted to believe so badly and he let it clout his judgement. The boys spiting up once again but I guess they can't always be together.

maybe a too much a perfect ending, i think what would have been a good ending just some kind of gut instinct from sam saying something like i get an eerie feeling a good one dad was watching over us i cant explain it but i feel dad wants me to know then dean starts to get teary eyed giving sam that look 1st the visions now this? to me that would be even better what better than good ol psychic boy's intuition callling out to him
