ahh,it was exactly what i wanted....i love this episode...there were great brothers scene and interactions between them...it seemed to me Dean really get desperate and at the end he admitted it which was surprise for me...i was quite sorry about poor Sammy....DeanŽs "hello",you would say "hello" was really hear breaking and Dean was enough hard on Sam during this ep...but i loved it,cause Jensen&Jared acted that perfectly...their last conversation was perfect,too...i hope weŽll get more these brothers interactions in next episodes...and next thing i was sorry that it wasnŽt daddy...i wish he would come back, just for awhile....

Jared about Jensen in upcoming episode:
"He did an amazing job, he's a fantastic actor and always impresses me. Just watching him do it - it was his coverage I didn't even have a camera on me - I was just watching him and I started to like, tears were rolling down my cheek and I was going, Uh...it's dusty...something flew in my eye."

I honestly can't see how this episode could be emotionally satisfying to anyone. I love Dean and I think he's being left out of the main storyline (the whole truth about Sam thing) but as far as the brothers' relationship goes, Dean gets the meat and all we see of Sam are scraps. I can see setting up a series with that conceit in mind, but we're at a point where the emotional scenes suffer from a lack of balance.

It's been 3 years & we hardly know Sam at all. We've seen inside the brothers' relationship. Dean's guts have been spewed on the screen time & again. But with Sam we get the same response he gave Dean, "You're my (fans) and I'd die for you, but there's somethings I need to keep to myself." - make that most things. The writers never give us Sam so much as they give us how Sam feels about others, particularly Dean.

Sam appears shallow and fake (plastic) because he is. The writers haven't built-up his character yet. Sam was introduced to the audience the same way he was reintegrated into his family so it's taken time for Sam to feel comfortable being himself & letting us get to know him. By all rights this should have been Sam's year to reveal his true self but the 'is Sam evil?' theme got in the way. We're being asked to accept a pre-packaged Sam because there's no time to set the foundation for portraying the fear & confusion Sam feels now.

Jared has done a brilliant job at portraying Sam as a real person - warts and all. Jensen has done an excellent job at making Dean's character unique. Eric has created the best show on TV. Up until this year, the writers had done the same. The show itself has become more formulaic & if that's the only way to boost ratings, fine. But when it affects the way characters are written (the hallmark of the show) then maybe it was SPN that came back wrong, not Sam.

This episode was awesome and the ending was the icing on the cake..I was getitng all weepy with Dean's sob speech and surprised to see him opening up, and then of course, only he can make the most inappropriate remark at the most inappropriate time and still somehow make it humourous...ah..I love 'em.*~ ^_-

u know everyones 4getting how sam says he needs to be more like dean, this is why i think everyones feeling a bit let down the way hes acting, more cold, im guessing hes trying to prepare himself to lose dean afterall if u noticed sams face when dean tells sam ruby told him theres no saving him from the pit maybe thats what was missing from the episode for everybody, "that actual realization," took away from the full episode. that there may never be a way to save dean where hes even doubting himself now maybe

my last comment is not made as if its written in the script theres no saving dean because whats the use of a season 4 if hes not saved. could be something so simple to save him like hmmm im thinking im thinking maybe the demon tells dean/sam that dean himself has to kill someone in cold blood or sacrifice someone to save his own soul, hmmm im guessing everyones gonna go against the one character i think it should be.....hmmmm i know bella??? i know i know we dont want dean to do that we LUUUUV bella NOT!!! TO HELL WITH RUBELLA i mean after all shes got the colt, what better way to set her up for the demons, so our boyz get the colt back. you know bella give us the colt we'll kill the demon just give up the colt, trust us thats when dean says play dead now stay dead b*@tch

i think that she wasnŽt so bad at all...i like Ruby and Bella wasnŽt that bad...moreover after iŽve read interview with Lauren,i like her little more...i have to admit in whole SPN,through all seasons, there was just one person which i really didnt like-Max from episode Nightmares(or something like that)
i think all characters(actors)are chosen greatly...i love even less important as Ash,Jo,Ellen then i love Bobby...sorry that we havent daddy Winchester...i loved him,too...
