What got you into (watching) Supernatural?

I agree totally! Orlando (bless him) was a tad wooden. Plus in POTC he was opposite Johnny (swoon) Depp and I didnt think he was great in that (whereas Johnny was brill) .... drifting off ... imagine a deserted island with Jensen, Jared, Johnny and me ..... ah sorry back to Orlando. I think that Jared would have made a great Elf in LOTR! What do you think?

^^^ Now, you see AJ fully agrees with you on that point.... Mr. Bloom did, in his opinion, do far better in the POTC lot of movies then in the LOTR.... AJ is not critical of the actor... but rather critical of the occasion role he or she plays!

Btw... Back to SPN... and what got you into watching SPN.... I was thinking of just that as I was stuck in my office rifling thru all the paperwork, this afternoon.... I was thinking of why exactly AJ has taken so well to this show.... I was also thinking of the various film/TV stars that AJ has liked through these last few years... and why he has taken to them.... and mostly, I was thinking of a comment Jenny82 made about J2... I quote it below....

See, I spent alot of time actually wondering why exactly he liked these two individuals so much at this moment in time.... Sure he likes others... Johnny depp 'Jack Sparrow' of course being one of them.... He also likes Ronaldo from MAN UTD football team... He is a fan of a host of random footballers... He even screams their names out when he is playing football outside with his friends.... but why these two guys?

See, IMO.... In my sons eyes.... They as actors, not specifically the roles they play, but rather in real life... are 'good guys'.... Now, whilst I don't for one single second believe these boys are total angels... AJ isn't out in the school playground listening to the older boys going on about their faults and failings as he does hear about how a footballer, for example was falling out headfirst out of a pub.... or that another one was wearing a sarong dress type thing ... on purpose... etc...etc...etc....

Nope he hears nothing about these boys... I must admit... I don't google generally... I am not that interested in the personal lives of people I will never meet... and I am not going to break that habit now.... Besides, I have more then enough random thoughts blowing between my ears these days!!!!

These guys are not plastered all over the papers... with bad headlines attached... nope... they, to the best of my knowledge... keep their heads down and get on with their jobs!!! etc... I think that's what AJ likes most about them... is that they are, to him ... just Dean & Sam.... Supernatural Boys.... Nothing else!!!! I will promise you though, now he knows of them, he will watch their careers from now on!!!
Yes, he would like to continue doing his acting and drama classes... if it's what rocks his boat, I will encourage it ..... I think though, these boys might have had a little influence in that....

LOL!!!.... Yes I was that thoroughly bored in work that I was thinking of SPN there too..... OMG.... I am turning into a freak!!!

BTW.... FTR..... AJ loves most of the actual storylines in SPN too... not just dialogue from the two boys.... He always checks to see who wrote what eps in SPN.... I don't know though... who he reckons writes the best at the moment.... As he is watching them all in a random order.... he has a theory about that one... reckons he can understand each individual story better if he mixes them up.... Yeah... I don't get it either...
So hats off to the various writers involved in the show too!!!

OK, I just realized I didn't answer the thread's question - shame on me!

I watched the first few eps and thought them quite good, but I wasn't really sure where the wanted to go with the show. Ep 6 "Skin" was the first I really love, because I'm a sucker for the whole alternate identity, body swap, being thought guilty when you aren't thing. The next ep that was brilliant imo was Scarecrow, it was so hilarious (I hope you're apple pie is freaking worth it) and very emo at the same time with how the brothers parted ways. Then came "Faith" and I was hooked. I was biting my nails while watching it, thinking, please don't let it turn out so that there's a god and this faith healer is genuine. Imo they did brilliant with preachers wife controlling the reaper thing, putting forward the moral question of who's worth living and who's gonna decide that? They totally won me over with that ep. The rest is history!

Supernatural has everything a great tv series should have. My favorite tv series of all time and will remain the greatest tv series.Supernatural is one of the most amazingly wonderful shows ever to come on TV! It has everything: Adventure, Drama, Comedy, Action, Suspense and two REALLY HOT GUYS!!!!!!

Cute accent, not new to Supernatural, but I'm new here. So, yeah. I've watched Supernatural from the get go. I guess what got me into the show was the storyline. Love anything supernatural, ghosty, creepy, urban legendy (look at me making up words). Plus, Jensen I knew from Dark Angel and Smallville and Jared from Gilmore Girls. I liked those shows so I figured that a show with them both in it couldn't be all bad.

I've been a fan of Jensen's for many years now, and I've been following his work since 2001....that's how I've heard of Supernatural

I used to be a CSI fan until one day last summer when CSI was not on. My teens had been bugging me to watch their favorite show Supernatural so I figured why not. We all watched the show together, and I was totally blown away. I could not believe that such a first rate show could be on such a second class network. Supernatural is top drawer all the way. It has 2 good looking and very talented actors, great writing and directing and awesome special effects. Supernatural is a great show with family values at the core but it is delivered with the perfect blend of humor along with the horror aspects of the show. Supernatural has some of the funniest scenes I have seen in a TV show. Supernatural is a fun action packed thrill ride of a show. I just cannot believe that such a gem of a show is buried on the worst spot in TV history up against CSI and Grey's.
How could the CW hide such a gem of a show and not even promote it! I couldn't figure is out then, and I sure as hell can't figure it out now. The show is the only show worth watching on the CW yet they do not even promote it.
