'Supernatural' Star Padalecki Snares Trilogy Deal

Supernatural star Jared Padalecki may be best known these days for battling demons, driving a cool car, and driving all the young girls crazy, but the young star will be trading his Kerouac from hell gig, temporarily, to portray famous Christmas artist Thomas Kinkade in a trio of films being developed by Lionsgate.

Three!? cheezy movies about the same sappy painter? Who's going to watch these things? Sounds like career suicide to me, but I could be wrong. I'm guessing the Supernatural boat is sinking.

This piece pissed me off! How do I count the ways? The nasty assumption that SPN won't see a fourth season. The reference to GILMORE GIRLS as being sappy. Kinkade's work as being cornball and square. While I do agree Jared deserves the big-screen exposure, this article seems to be trashing the movie, SUPERNATURAL and Jared in one swell foop! Go to hell, Buddy TV! Robin

I'm afraid you are a little behind the times with your info here. This was announced last spring and Jared shot the first film during the hiatus from Supernatural before season 3 began shooting! Thomas Kinkade paints beautiful "dreamworld" paintings with quaint cottages and lovely country scenes. He has a special talent for making the light in windows shine brightly!
I look forward to seeing Jared's wonderful work in these films!

OLD NEWS!
Not the best movie, but anything is good if it means Jared will be free from that TEEN CRAP that is now Supernatural.
Probably he made the three movie deal when he heard about those bit&hes coming to the show.
I can't wait to see him in a hot action movie with Sean Bean and Jake Gyllenhaal!

I'm not going to lie, I bet I will vehemently dislike these movies, but I WILL be seeing them in theaters on opening night. I hope this isn't career suicide...but I agree it sounds like it

I wish Jared luck - not that I'll be watching that sort of stuff.
I think with the additions of ruby and bela SPN will NOT get a fourth season. I'd like to remember it the way it was. Just the Winchester brothers.

From what I understand, the first of these three movies was shot during Supernatural's hiatus, so it didn't interfere with Jared's shooting schedule with the show. And to make an assumption that Supernatural won't make it to a fourth season is being a little premature, isn't it? While it barely got a third season, the fact of the matter is... it DID. And based on how the show fares this season will ultimately decide on a fourth season. As a longtime fan of Padalecki, I've enjoyed watching him grow into his roles and cannot wait to see the Kinkade movie. I love that man's work.

no forth season?! what!? no no no that is not right just wait a sec and see how season 3 will be then you can make that descion and ok if Jared wants to do that then ya as long as it dosent intrupt season 3
