| This idea is the dumbest I've ever heard. As other fans have said, I started watching this show and have stuck with it so far because it's about two brothers traveling and hunting together. It's not about hunter barbies. I'm all for characters popping in now and then like Ellen and Bobby and Missouri. Friends to the boys; confidants. But not people they're going to get all googly-eyed with. That's completely out of character, and ridiculus. That's not what Supernatural is about. If this love-interest crap turns out to be true I'm not going to be sticking around for season 3. These girls are going to be complete Mary Sues and I won't stand for it. |

| Maybe Rubella could meet Ken Hunter and they could hunt happily ever after together! Take off in Barbie’s pink hunting jeep and come home to the Barbie penthouse hunting lair. Sip zombies by the Barbie party pool under the plastic palm tree..... golly, they could have their own show “The Super-not-Natural” |

| I'm firmly of the wait and see camp. While the word around has been that the CW may have had a strong hand in the adding of these girls, the truth is... at the end of the day trust Eric Kripke... I've read the sides for both ladies... I think Bella stands the most chance of being the interesting and long lasting of the two. I hope they cast her well... god bless I'd love to see Eliza Dushku play her. She has a nice level of menance and yet she's not wholly evil... she not wholly anything... which makes for a very interesting place to take the show. For two seasons there has been Good and Bad... and very little room in between, though I think through Sam, we have seen more grey areas (though that has always been to the side of good). However, with Bella we see someone who just doesn't care one way or the other... it's all about the money, it's about which makes a better offer...and that's totally opposite form where the boys have been for their entire lives... so to be truthful, i'm looking forward to Bella. Now RuBy's side presents some other challenges that i don't know how it will go... could be really kick a$$, could suck totally... I read her as a female version of season 1 Dean... If you look at her lines, she sounds much like Early Dean... the Dean that wanted to have fun and thought as long as he killed the bad guy it was a good day... which will be interesting to see how that meshes with the Now Dean... who is so very different. Also as far as her seduction of Sam:... well now that could be interesting... it all depends on where Sam's mind is now... the sides are thought to come from epi 3, and we know that some times passes from 2.22 and 3.01... So how is Sam dealing with all of this? Ruby reminds me a bit of Evil Ava and somewhat of Meg too... which then makes me wonder if she doesn't have something to do with that side of things... perhaps her purpose in the show is the keep Sam in that questioning place... the place between who he was pre- secret and who he is post Spid Battle/ resurection. I mean by default he is the leader of the demon army... but with out the YED there to leade him... does that claim on Sam still stand. So again I'm curious about what will be... but i'm willing to give it a chnace before going insane with furor |

| I have to say I'm appalled at the writers and creators of Supernatural for thinking they had to fall in line with all the other drab on TV. The reason the show has such an avid and loyal fan base is because it is unique and stands out. Taking on romance as a way to, perhaps (though I do not know the writer's motives), reach out to a wider audience is doomed to back fire. the show does not need romance, love interests, or a wider cast. The very essense of the show - two brothers on a road trip together - is what makes it so special. In my opinion the addition of these two new cast regulars sets the show up for a major fall. Ratings will come crashing down as many fans loose interest in what has been, for the past two seasons, an amazing show. Kripke has admitted on numerous occassions to browsing fan sites and so I can only hope he sees that what is happening could spell the end for the show. Furthermore, the reoccuring cast the show already has is very strong. Although Jo and Ellen took a while to grow on me, Bobby, helped to reinforce the idea that the brothers were part of a real demon hunting community. I am in the UK where the season finale is currently being shown (tonight and next sunday). I have already seen what happens on youtube and other fan sites and I want to use it to highlight a point. Ash, Bobby and Ellen help to make the two-part finale fuller, more believable and enjoyable, and it is a pleasure to see them on screen with the brothers. however, this is because of the small doses they are shown to the viewers in. Its always a nice surprise to see them, rather than a drag to try and keep up with a large permanent cast. there is one more thing to consider. Perhaps this is not the writer's or creator's ideal. Whilst the show did well last season, it may in fact be the network pushing this story line, in the vain attempt to boost ratings. though not bright, it may be that they believe it is what a larger percentage of viewers want. Sorry this post is so long, but please let me now if any of you lot out there share my opinions and thoughts. |

| the show is about love of 2 brothers, its really unfair that ladies have got brought into it. sex may sell but also proving to be a different programme wil work and has already worked. the nw love interested wil totally turn the aim of the show around |

| Junior Member | First. It's more about war and struggle. Any romance Second. The brothers are far, far more interesting (and popular) when they're free. Third. I personally would love to see the girls killed in the first episode they appear |

| Junior Member | Im feeling torn at the mo, I think it could be cool to have a female dynamic to the show. But on the other hand, it would be a shame if it went too mushy and lost its gritty up and down relationship and journey of the brothers. Its the fight for family that is one of the great concepts of the shows. So Im trying to hold judgement until season 3 and see what happens.
