| On the plus side ... we are getting thru these S1 eps a lot faster then Living TV is at the mo... 1 a week for next 70 odd weeks... that's a full year and a half before S5 is due on there.... Must be the particular writing style... I dunno... just didn't like Faith or Croatoan as much as some of the others... and I have championed the brilliant Benders & Family Remains style of ep not to mention the Ghostfacers ones, yet the vast majority of you didn't see much point to them... strange but interesting, all the same.... Calena... When it comes to SPN viewing, Mini Me follows you more then me... he loves the eps I don't and VV... the debates get loud in this house right after they are on...

| I also wasn't as fond of "Croatoan" as most seemed to be. It was fine, but not outstanding. I wonder if it isn't the emotional exchange between the guys that makes people love it so much. That was a very good scene, but it's not enough to make the overall ep. all that great to me. Keep in mind, I enjoy EVERY ep. of Supernatural. There's even some enjoyment to be had in "Ghostfacers" for me. And that's saying a lot. I like episodes that keep me sucked in to that other world, that story. I don't care for ones that knock me out of it. When they go too over-the-top with the humor and acknowledge the fans, that knocks me out of the fantasy. I do think that the fan acknowledgment in "The Monster . . ." was interesting and daring. But it did knock me out of the story and it left me wondering what they're going to do with that. Just ignore it forever? I hope they do just that, actually. It bummed me, too, that they only acknowledged wacky and negative fans and not the rest of us. If they acknowledge this situation anymore, it'd be really nice if they'd acknowledge the normal, smarter fans and, maybe, make the bros.' realize they could use the fans' knowledge to their advantage. Get help from them. Date them (I get Cas! Or Dean if Cas can't get with the whole romance thing! )

I have 3 problems with Ghostfacers: - the handheld camera style, it makes me dizzy and I hate it. I watched Public Enemy recently, and they did a lot of shaky camera stuff. If you have professional people at the camera, why have them make bad quality youtube clips? Ok, I know that's not what happened with GF, it was necessary for the story the wanted to tell. Still hate shaky camera. - I hate reality TV. All kinds of it, safe for casting shows. - too little Winchester brothers. No, they don't have to be in every frame, but in GF that was too little. I absolutely loved it. I think that shows a lot of respect for the fandom. I mean, can you imagine Grey's adressing their fans, and telling them how stupid they are. Smart and reasonable fans wouldn't make that good a joke on the show. The great thing is, being a smart and reasonable fan, (to anyone involved with SPN who might read here, yes, really, I am, I swear, honest!

| I enjoyed the jokes too, and I'm not saying normal fans would make for good jokes. I'm saying it would've been nice to be acknowledged, period, if they were gonna go for fan acknowledgment anyway. And, for this fan, showing me respect means always keeping me swept up in the fantasy. Keep working to always make me feel like this is really happening, these people are real and they and their situations really matter. I'm a fan of the show, not the fandom. I like to be sucked completely in; that's just me. To each her own.

| Hello all Quick one.... I agree with both your sides in this debate about how fans were adressed in that MAEOB , however... I do think we were all addressed in one form or another... even the most serious fan on these threads or on any similar fanbase has had a peak into the world of ... 'Wincest' and all that.... we have all had our share of laughs in between serious fan talk.... by mentioning the fans at all showed great respect for us all... they know that it's the fans who helped put them there... and I respect them more for the fun way of how they did it... at least they know the 'real' fans from the wanabees!!!! Ok ... work now.... got to earn some pennies for Ghostfacers Con... chat later folks....

I get what you are saying about wanting to be sucked in Cookie. But the genius of this ep is, while being meta it still move the fictional story along. So you could get lost in the story.

| Ohmy.... Hasn't someone got an almighty strop on??? LOL.... Darn Supernatural... it tears apart families and relationships to their very core... it makes friends fight to the death against each other to stand up for their viewpoint.... it makes those we generally know as being calm and quiet turn into stroppy teenager type beings who spend their entire lives shrugging and tutting away at everything that moves.... Damn the show ... we should boycott it entirely from this point.... and never ever watch it again in protest!!! Or perhaps we could steady our campaign by slowly introducing people to this boycotting way of thinking... by giving them a due date when we will begin this attack.... say like, December 31st 2039... that then gives everyone plenty of time to find other alternate TV viewing that will treat them much nicer!!!

| Well, I counter-disagree. And I'm too lazy to make it all huge and colourful. smiley It's not my fault she always disagrees with me.

Every bloody year around this time, we have the same thing... everyone starts to get nervous... everyone starts to get tetchy with one another... people start to fuss... and to moan... and shout.... they start to pick fights with others they normally worship to the very ends of the earth... they start hating the world!!! It gets to just about the stage where there is a huge likelihood should all these people be in the same room together, many punches would be cast and bodies would be thrown at great speed up against the nearest wall, Winchester brother style.... and then... as if by magic.... a familiar sound comes on the TV... a sound so great that all goes quiet around the world to hear it... The sound of that Impala's engine and the dulcet tones of the boys.... It's then quickly followed by a big Whoopla and then all is extremely happy in SPN land for another few months.... The long wait in between seasons is hard... but what hits you most always is those last few weeks leading up to D Day.... It's fight for survival time for all.... Jeez, Kripke... I hope you know what you are doing to us all here!!! If you leave things much longer, we may not be around to see you all come back!!!
