Supernatural: Episode 3.10 "Dream a Little Dream of Me" Recap

The scene after Sam's dream, when he's sleepig on the desk with the huge grin was priceless! I loved how awkward he felt when he woke up, and how he had to hide how happy he was. He was so smooth when he tried to talk to Bela as she left. I totally knew she was going to take the gun after she saw it in the safe. I'm wondering why she did it. 1. To teach them a lesson for not letting her dream walk with them 2. She's been contracted by Sam's rival to take away their demon killing gun. 3. She can't help herself because she's a master theif and that safe was a joke. It doesn't look like we will find out anytime soon. Dean's dreamwalk seemed to do him so good. He got to face his inner demon's and now he wants to live. Next week's episode looks funny, can't wait to see Sam work thru that one.

Okay first, Bobby is so made of awesome. Its nice to have an episode really involving him. I loved getting backstory on him. Poor guy. He's whole explaination 'we all get into hunting somehow' just shows how truly messed up hunters are.

Dean telling Bobby he was like a father to him was really sweet. It had me awwing all over the place.

Dean dreaming about Ben's mom really gave us glimpse into what Dean is thinking and how he's feeling. I don't buy that's the first time he's dreamed about it either. I half expected little Ben to come running out there or something.

Dude, the Bela sex dream was just creepy. If you'll notice though, Bela did a whole lot of the things in Sam's dream that she did when she actually showed up. Right down to some of the same exact conversation bits. Perhaps a little bit of psychic Sam is showing through? I mean I suppose you can chalk it up to coincedence, but everything was *really* similar. Makes me wonder.

Dean's showdown with himself was heartbreaking. When he started yelling about his obssessed jackass father, and yelling about how he had to carry the weight of Sammy and how his dad let him mom die and he couldn't protect him and the end where he yelled he didn't deserve to go to hell. I really felt for him. I think that is one of the first times Dean has ever really showed exactly how he was feeling and thinking. Dean would never say that. Never call his father a jackass, never blame him for their mother's death, never say any of that stuff and it just tore my little heart to pieces. Demon!Dean I think was a wake up call for him but as we see in the end, he isn't gone just because Dean's decided he doesn't want to die.

That end scene with Sam and Dean in the car when Dean tells him he doesn't want to die...its just so simple and so perfect and you can see how vulnerable Dean is to this whole situation. He's scared. Sam tells him they'll figure it out, and he almost looks relieved at that, like he doesn't have to carry this huge weight of being pretending to be okay with everything. I don't know how they are going to do it, but I'm glad that Dean's on board with figuring a way out of the deal.

And dude, I know I mentioned it already, but the last couple of seconds of the episode were so perfect and so creepy.

I thought it was a great episode, and I too must chime about how the Dean vs Dean was really good. I have a question, though. I know that if you drink the tea, you're able to control the dream of the person whose dream you walked into, and that's how stoner boy and Sam were able to beat each other up. And yes, while they were technically in the alternate universe that is Dean's brain, Dean didn't actually know what they were doing, so were they really in Dean's brain? Oy, my head is spinning.

Dean vs DemonDean made this episode. It was great because Jensen did such a phenomenal job playing both parts.

this episode was great from start to finish. the opening scenes of seeing sam in bar drinking whisky and completely frustrated was heartbreaking. watching them by bobby"s side and tring to find what was wrong with him. sam and bella dream had me in fits of laughter. i enjoyed it. and sam in theaftermath was adorable. i just wanted to give him some love. seeing dean completely frazzled after 2 days of no sleep as hilarious.dean acknowledging bobby as a second father as nice. seeing dean dark half was straight forward and direct and him facing what he would become was genius. jensen was great. next episode would not be funny for me. my heart already hurts for sam and i hope he meets up to all our expectations. seeing dean over and over again would be very emotional.

The reviewer forgot to mention that Sam killed the pot-head dude by taking a baseball bat to his head! Was anyone else disturbed by that??

Yeah it was crazy. Hey, I felt so bad for dean when his double was being so cruel. Poor dean. Love the guy to death but he's got major issues
Oh, but Jensen Ackles played a demon beautifully. I think he was better than any other demon character on there. Freaked me out! lol

Hey from Donnie in OKC! Just a freaking AWESOME episode!!! And I do love Sam's funny-dorky side. It really fits this season. I also do like Bela...I know some don't...but I doubt she will be around forever and it's nice to see the boys have some interaction with other characters...it works for me this season as long as the girls are not overdone. Beautiful episode! Thank you Sera and Eric...etc...
I am just simply MAD about this little show!
