Jensen AcklesSome of the best episodes of Supernatural tend to be the ones that expand upon the mythology of the series, which is why "Malleus Maleficarum" was so memorable.  We learned why Sam (Jared Padalecki) had been acting like a hardcore killer, more about Ruby's back story and intentions, as well as the fact that all demons used to be human.  The episode messed with our brains and what we thought we knew of the Supernatural universe, which left some viewers giddy and others skeptical.  Read on to find out what some of our readers had to say about the exciting events in last Thursday's episode.

While I believe that Sam wants to be more like Dean, I also believe that Sam doesn't really know his brother. Dean is far from being a cold-blooded killer, and Dean has compassion and a heart. I'm not sure what Sam is thinking, but if he things being a cold-blooded killer is being like Dean, then Sam is wrong.

As for Ruby? I think she's lying to both boys. She may be telling the truth, but the truth can be twisted, and I think she has her own reasons for lying to both.

I did find the chemistry between Ruby and Dean to be a plus. I think it helped that last scene a lot.

If Sam had been acting like a hardcore killer, then Dean IS the hardcore killer.

Ruby makes with the pouty lips, SAYS that she remembers her "humanity" and we all BELIEVE it?? She's a DEMON, and demons do what again???
And ALL demons used to be human once? ummm...
Oh, and Ruby is swish here, and swish gone again...so, what? She can teleport?
A demon MORE powerful than the YED,who made the Colt redundant with one sweep of her hand is messin around with a >4< witch coven. Startin kinda small isn't she?
GREAT to see a new episode, and the boys are as cool as ever, but as sqeeful as my 'fan brain' is, my 'critical brain' is askin questions.

i dont think Sam is trying to be more like Dean, i think that its more a case of Sam giving up on the world, i mean whats the point? Everybody around him dies, theyre in a war that even Bobby doesnt think they can win. Surely thats enough to make anyone a little dark...

LMAO, shuttlebug, Sam never said he was acting like a hardcore killer. Buddttv did. Sam tried to say, that he needed to be tougher, just like his brother.

i wont even respond to that first post...if you understood sam then you would understand where he is coming from!....sam as always had an inferority complex where dad and dean are concerned never thought he was a good enough hunter he believes that sam winchester will not survive but a sam winchester who becomes like his brother someone he looks up to can survive that is what he is doing!!dean will be gone but i get a feeling sam will never win no matter what he does...

I want to see Ruby be _playing_ the boys. I want her lying through her demony teeth... otherwise, I'm a little underwhelmed by her.

That is an interesting take on Sam's response to Dean about why he's changing. I think I agree, that there is more to it. Perhaps Sam is JUSTIFYING it through this explaination, that he's trying to be more like Dean, but ultimately, I think there is more to it than that.

And I still hope Ruby is evil.
