I believe that Sam believes he's just trying to be more like Dean. He's even popping his collar... and the look on his face was when he thought Dean was going to shoot Ruby was just devastating. But overall, I think there's still more to Sam than meets the eye. He just doesn't know it yet. It will be interesting to see how he finds out.

A few episodes demons were fallen angels. Now they're fallen humans? Kripke needs to get his little world straight. Ruby herself told Sam to think of her as his little fallen angel on his shoulder.

I found this episode kinda lame. I kept wondering when it was going to be over. Not a good sign.

Sam was concerned about changing last season, not he's changing on purpose.
But if he becomes more Dean like, Dean loses his 'Jimney Cricket' Sam has always been Dean's conscience, without that Dean becomes less human,more demonlike and he's not even dead yet..
I don't know if Ruby is telling the complete truth but I don't think she's out and out lying either.

I don't think Kripke ever said the demons were fallen angels. Casey was telling the story of the devil, that he was a fallen angel and all that jazz because he wouldn't bow down to humans. And she said she had faith that he existed, but never was it said: Demons are fallen angels.

Ruby whispered to Sam that she would be his fallen angel on hos shoulder (or however she worded it) but I don't think it was meant that she was literally a 'Fallen Angel'. There were people who thought that perhaps that was what she was, since the episode was revealing some mythology about demons and the fact that they have their own sets of beliefs, however, it wasn't an admission from her, more a play on words I think. We've never seen a real angel and we've never seen a fallen angel. They are both creaters that are believed in by humans and demons--but no one seems to know if they exist or not. Even Ruby said she didn't believe in the devil. So at this point, demons come from hellbound souls. God and the Devil have sort of been left out of the equation as questionable figures.

well if there's one thing we all do know dean's always telling sam why are you even listening to the !@#!@ shes a demon & demons lie, they might twist the truth in the lies but shes playing with your head, funny thing, dean's finding out hes contradicting himself listenig to ruby. & why is it ruby says demons forget that they were humans once. but for some reason she's the only one, to remember that she was....hmmm?? ***playing on dean's emotions??***& will dean tell sam theres no point in saving him that hes still going to hell.

everyone remember how they never replayed any episodes the past month. kinda makes you wonder, no replayed episodes no new episodes for a month til now with only 3 episodes left, if the cw wanted they could end the series this season. it sure sounds like thats what theyre planning. i just wish if it was coming down to the wire i wonder if kripke, singer & manner would consider negotiating with the sci-fi network to keep the series going, i mean the sci-fi channel made a remake of flash gordon with the no name talentless actor eric jonhson from seasons 1 & 2 of smallville, they can certainly do something with supernatural if you ask me. im just wondering how to contact any of the producers to see if we can put the idea into their heads & other ideas for the show as well

I think Sam's story is going to be connected to pride somehow. Dean's been slapped around by his personal demons from the season opener, but Sam hasn't really been hit by Pride yet. I'm a big fan of bookending story arcs, so maybe I'm forcing the issue in my mind, but the Crossroads Demon had Sam convinced that Dean was nothing but a screw-up. Now Sam wants to be more like Dean? If it were out of admiration, I think Sam would have done it long ago. If it's because he's giving up then isn't that kind of a prideful stance? Sorta "My way would have worked best, if only....", but he's stuck with doing it Dean's way. I think the demons, especially Ruby, are exploiting Sam's emotions for some reason. My pet theory, for the moment, is that Sam will learn too late that he had the way to save Dean all along, only Pride kept him from seeing it.

I just want the season to end where Dean makes due to his deal and becaues of it Sam has to make deal to run the demon army in order to get Dean back. So Sam goes dark side and then Dean has to find a way to save Sam. THAT, woud be awesome.
