this was 100% Supernatural.....the brotherly moments, the boys working together as a team....Bobby though not involved in a physical sense ...was there in the past and present by mention of his name. Loved the fact that the main focus was dealing with Deans pending death and not being there maybe for next Xmas. I felt so sad for Sam...because now we see through flashbacks why Sam has always had a (WHERE WERE YOU DAD?) relationship with John...and that Dean at a very young age loved and worshipped his father. I guess with John leaving the boys many times to fight evil that this protected the boys but put a wrench between him and Sam. Very sad episode....made me cry and also wanting more. Hope there is another holliday episode in the future....hopefully in season 4....if there is one?

"If you fudging touch me again, I'll fudging kill you!" and " Where did you get your wreath" and "We're just watching" LMAO, this episode was so good, I loved it.... ewww Sammy's fingernail getting ripped out *barfs alittle in my mouth* ..... thank god they didn't pull out Dean's tooth, I mean that beautiful face lol!! Awww the necklace, little Sammy gave it to little Dean, and that's why Dean loves it so much!! Seriously this episode was so good!! And Dean is not dumb!!! Dean has always been the street smart brother and Sam always the book smart brother. It has been that way since the first episode, and just because you know how to make an emf reader out of a walkmen doesn't mean you know about all the pegan gods or Mary Poppins, it just shows that he is very handy, like he can fix a car and Sam can't. Dean fit in very well in prison, taking over things winning cigarettes, and Sam stuck out like a sore thumb. Dean is very streets smart he may not know alot about history and thin

I agree - well, at least if you mean the overall effect (lighting, use of color, music, not to mention writing, directing and acting) contributes to an atmosphere of humor over horror. Still, I did like the way the motel room (all tan & bland) lent an air of despair. It was somehow even more depressing than the trashy, run-down room in the flashbacks. It's the density of the show that attracted me in the beginning. I'm glad to see some of it coming back.

This season has been interesting. With some ups and some downs (ie. brotherly moments and annoying girls), you can never tell what's going to happen. This epi was one of the best of the season. Sam's visions need to come back.

This is without question the best episode of S3 thus far... Hilarious, creepy, touching, gross....everything a Supernatural fan wants in an episode. Highlights: -Use of the term "fudging" -Lyrics of "Silent Night" as sung by Dean and Sam ("round and round......the....taaaaaabbbllllleee") -The fingernail scene! Deliciously creepy and disgusting -The size of the bong in Santa's trailer! -June and Ward Cleaver as cannibal pagan gods ("Someone owes a nickel to the swear jar") -"We're just here to watch" -The history of Dean's amulet - the fact that this came from Bobby and was intended for John makes me think it may end up saving Dean's ass one day - fingers crossed How good are the bloopers/outtakes from this episode going to be?? Happy Holidays Supernatural fans!
