| I really am tired of the DumbDean, SmartSam routine. Really, Dean is highly intelligent, we've seen this in Season 1 and Season 2. So, writers? Kripke? If Dean can make an EMF out of a walkman, override an electronic alarm system, notice patterns before Sam and has actually hunted on his own before, how is it that he's as dumb as you guys make him out to be sometimes? And really, snobbish Sam that rattles his expositions is hardly a loving character. Make both boys what they are, smart, capable and endearing. The necklace was given to WeeSam by Bobby. Mary Poppins and Dick Van Dyke are not staples of young boys that move around as much as the Winchesters do, whose father leaves them alone on the Holidays. Other than that, great episode and another great line was when Dean's mouth was filled with pliers and the doorbell rings. "Is anyone going to get that? I think somebody should get that" LOL hilarious. |

| Moderator ![]() ![]() | I agree, I wouldn't say Dean not knowing what Mary Poppins is, is anything more than just a testiment to A. how much lacking his childhood was since he was always taking care of Sam and B. That Mary Poppins was probably some chick movie that even wee!Dean wouldn't have been caught dead watching. I mean, if Mary had been around, I think it might have made it into his viewing, but chances are if it ever did come on TV in the motel they were staying at, Dean wasn't going to be sitting down to watch it, he had things to do, a brother to take care of, ghosts to hunt, Christmas' to make. Its the same reason he doesn't know what Myspace is. Not a dumb thing, he's just not informed because its not something he has ever had a need to find out about and with his life style, it's probably not something he will ever need to find out about...unless of course there is a demon possessing the site in which case that's total truth and so not an urban legend LOL.

| Moderator ![]() | I loved this episode i agree that it was the best of the season. Glad they made it about the brothers relationship again. I love when they mix scenes that make me laugh and the next one makes me cry, i loved when they started singing and the pliers scene was so funny. Pretty much all the scenes with Dean and Sam as kids made me cry, and then at then end ![]()

| This episode totally rocked!! It had everything in it that makes Supernatural the great show it is as well as not having the girls in it (that make Supernatural what it's not) ) The Christmas episode had all the aspects you would expect with Christmas Supernatural style. We saw some great characters in the husband and wife pagan gods who we learn are the ones actually killing the poor victims by eating them.Only Kripke could deliver such an untasty subject in such a tasty way! The Carringtons were creepy and evil and yet entertaining and amusing. We also had some totally awesome brother moments as Sam and Dean both struggled with Dean's "last Christmas" because of the crossroad's deal. We finally learn where Dean's amulet came from and it really made it all the more special since it was a gift from Sam to Dean when they were kids. The eppie had some very touching moments as well as some very gory moments which made for a delightful mix of yuletide fun. Oh and the scene of the boys butch |
