| Moderator ![]() | I hope Gordon dies. See ya in hell buddy !!!! This episode was good with the facial expressions and Gert.LOL, but not up to par with the rest of this seasons episodes. Bela, as much as i have tried to be open minded about her, I just don't like her. I did like her calling Sam a drama queen ..that was pretty funny. That's about as far as it went though. Hopefully she will grow on me and I will learn to like her because i don't want to dislike any part of the show really.

| why does Dean have to have chemistry with any women? Does everybody want him to have a romance then cos I dont. I thought we were so not wanting Supernatural to turn into a romantic drama. |

| For some reason this episode made me like Bela a bit better. But she can still go away and I won't be sad. And her having Metallicar towed was just cruel and mean. Poor Dean, I could total feel for him in that moment. Oh, and that ghost ship spooked me totally, maybe more than any other thing/being on SN to date. I think I have a fear of ghost ships

| Moderator ![]() ![]() | Ghost ships FTW! I have to admit, I was hoping they'd let Bela die. But no such luck, our boys have morals (sort of). I have really tried to like Bela and everytime she is on the show I will give her an open mind, but I just am not digging her character. After 20 plus years of hunting, these boys have *never* run into her and never even *heard* of her and yet they're supposed to run into her over and over? They could have given her a little more history, maybe someone Dean encountered when he was hunting with his father, or a name in the journal or something that anchors her into this reality besides everyone BUT Sam and Dean knowing about her. I'm not sure if that make sense. Anyway, so they have never even heard of this girl, and now all of a sudden they're going to run into her over and over again? I guess the only way I see that working is if she's just coming to America now and has been somewhere else, England whereever. Because that is the only way it makes any kind of sense. The girl had some funny moments, but for the most part, her character is cliche, frustrating and forced. I hope the writers have an ace up their sleeve for her. Something that will make her a character I like. I'm not looking for her to be a demon, but I am looking for something beyond the "I'm a bad girls without a heart but deep down I'm really just crying out to be saved by someone" thing they've hinted at. Dean is enough of that for me. Anyway, this episode underwhelemed me a little bit. There were some ace scene like was mentioned above. The hyperventlating over his car being missing (can I shoot her? not in public.) And the end scene where Dean just doesn't even acknowledge Sam's concern. That was pitch perfect in my opinion and really kind of shows just how much Dean ISN'T dealing with this. Other than that, I hope this week's episode is better and I seriously hope Gordon dies as well. I can't stand him!

| Agreed. They should kill the romance issues and keep on hunting. That is what I would do with these stories. That's what this show seems a vehicle for. I was saying Jo was believable to me in comparison, whether romance, chemistry or just semi-regular, like Bobby or for that matter Ellen. Really I wanted them to keep Ash around, all business up front and party in the back, soooo cooool. Jo probably is the kind of messed up-not quite grown up hunter chick you would run into. Ruby - maybe. Bela I thought was supposed to be on some other show, Reaper? No, not the actress the character. They give her the wrong script? Well, looking forward to the offing of Gordon, this one could be good, sure hate him by now, he's awesome for that, but feels like we ran out of ideas already. |

| Given the choice between Bela or Jo, I'll take Bela any day! At least she appears to be clever, cultured and more mature. The problem with Jo was that she was written as a petulant teenager and Ms. Tal's very youthful looks only added to that. To even imply a romance between a man of nearly 30 with someone who "looks" 16 is just icky all around and reminiscent of something that belongs on Dateline Catch a Predator, not SN. Being afraid to enter the territory of the Jo fiasco, they went to extremes to make Bela very hateful, to the point that it's backfiring. The character of Ruby is interesting, but Katie cannot pull off the intricacies of that role. Perhaps the writer's strike is an evil blessing in disguise after all. |
