If the brothers are going to interact with regulars then bring on Bobby and Ellen..and kill Rubela. I also have to apologize to Jim Beaver/ Bobby ,he did try to kill off Ruby. I came in from work late and saw...Sin City like half asleep.

I'm sorry I for one have absolutely NO sympathy for an actor complaining about his work-load. Jensen has had a lot of praise for his work in this show and it has stretched him as an actor and the fans (who pay him indirectly) love Dean and love Dean and Sam. If he doesn't like it he should get another job. I would like new characters in the show but they need to be good and I need to care about them. I care about Ellen and Bobby and I want to see Gordon and Hendrickson - not one or two new hunters in every episode, it just makes the Winchester universe seem less mysterious and exclusive and it's not working in the context of the original premise. These two new girls are NOT working they are poor actresses and the characters don't fit with the past two seasons at all, but you can say the emperor is wearing clothes if you want.

you actually have a valid point there anonymous. the more hunters there are the less mysterious their world is. it was cool when the world is filled with all these evil things and only a small group of people knew the truth of what really goes on at night, and did something about it.

hey Mousitsa welcome back, and i must say i agree with you too. if they made ruby a little more intimidating then maybe her character would be more affective.

the problem is that Miss Cassidy is like a third class actress working on an A+ SHOW with A+ ACTORS JARED AND JENSEN. Meg...Nicki Cox...Samantha Ferris and the other actresses on the show have been better than both Miss Cassidy and Miss Cohan.

Darmatugan here from the US. I like Ruby, she can kick ass! Do agree she was a bit off in this epi., but give her time. You've gotta admit, she was way cooler then Bela when she showed up in that first epi. Come on, how many of you out there would like to be able to wield a demon killing knife? Okay, probably not many, but give the show time, we're not that far in yet. Supernatural is DA BEST!

Sorry, but an interesting character wielding a cool weapon does not make for a better actress, it simply makes for an interesting character. Talent makes for a better actress. And a better actress makes the audience care about the character and want to know more, not roll their eyes whenever she shows up. In my opinion, Lauren is a few steps up the rungs of the ladder in terms of ability over Katie. With SN in its third season and its quality strongly established, we shouldn't have to suffer through some starlet "improving her craft" at our expense or at the expense of SN's quality. There have been excellent performances from many guests so far. If casting is able to judge their excellent work and hire them for one episode, then why did they fail when casting someone who was planned to be a "regular"?

I agree ruby is an interesting character although *cough, meg, cough* they even have simular red jacket. But katie cassidy is lacking in portraying this role effectively, im intrigued by how her role will affect the boys but if she doesnt pick up her performance soon then my patience with her will thin. i thought the actress who played casey was great why cant she come back as a regular. also give us more brother together scenes, their chemistry is one of the best things about this show! i do understand the long hours, dont want them to burn out mind as that leads to a drop in performance. but i guess it is only epi 4 there's still another 18 where we can have some quality brother time...

o.k. so do we all have an accord now? The character of ruby is intriguing but the actress playing her needs more seasoning. Some one just a little bit older and intimidating. With this girl it's like attack of the high school cheerleaders. They had other demon girls on the show and they were totally kick ass. As mousitsa said the casting was working great for cameo characters so what the hell happened now?!
