Supernatural: Episode 3.3 "Bad Day at Black Rock" Recap

Last week, Supernatural fans were shocked to discover that Ruby (Katie Cassidy) one of the controversial new female characters added for the third season, was actually a demon. Most people absolutely loved this twist, and tonight we get our first look at the other lady entering the lives of Sam and Dean, Bela (Lauren Cohan).

Will the gratifying twist last week make viewers more confident that maybe creator Eric Kripke knows exactly what he's doing and didn't just add in some chicks for sex appeal? Or does the awesome demon twist make fans even more eager to find out what Bela's secret is, setting the bar much higher than it should be? Tonight, we'll find out, and we'll also see one of the Winchester boys get lucky.

Hmmm, I'm not digging Bela just yet, but I'll give it some more episodes. They'll need to flesh her out a bit to make me like her, make her less two dementional.

I chose the 'she might grow on me part' . There wasn't enough of her in the episode to really make a fair judgment either way . She has guts i will give her that, stealing the boys newfound fortune of scratch off tickets. I did like that Dean was able to get past her intense security without her knowing and the post it note was priceless. Such a Dean thing to do.

I will give her credit as well. Stealing from the boys twice. So cool. But yes we'll need to see her a little more to find out how cool she really is.

"They happen to come across a photo of Sam and Dean getting their over-sized novelty check. That's...convenient." Not convenient. Ill luck. Sam lost the rabbit's foot, so things go bad for him. I like Bela. It's going to take time to really get a feel for the character, but the writers are off to a fine start. -sa@bonasi.com

It was only one episode with Bela/Lauren Cohan but I like her...she was serious and witty and she outwitted Dean more than once. I didnt like her shooting Sam...but maybe in a future epi Sam can shoot her and even the score. Sorry to some SPN fans but I CAN see chemistry between Dean and Bela already. Shes moving into the impala or Dean will probrably makeout with her in her fancy sports car???

Great point about Sam's bad luck being the reason for the bad guys finding him. Somehow I didn't put that together myself, but yeah, you're totally right.

i was cracking up laughing all the way
one of the funniest episodes ever

ummm bela yeah not liking as much as i like ruby
theres no point to her really

but ruby there is a point

i love the way they made the two new female characters. i'm really impressed. they're both something different and unique. great job! =)
