| I know most fans would like Sam and Dean to interact in a hermetically sealed world. I myself don't have a problem with the show introducing several new characters each season as long as they make sense. I had no problem with Bobby, Ash, Ellen, Gordon, etc. I was dubious about Ruby as I assumed she was just a bimbo thrown into the show to boost ratings. But the last scene of 3.02 absolutely won me over! What a surprise! Now I am quite interested in the Ruby character and want to see her in more scenes. I also think the greedy, selfish Bela character will be an interesting contrast. I do not think either character "drags the show further from its roots." These characters make sense and will help advance the overarching plot. |

| Moderator ![]() ![]() | I think Ruby definately makes sense in the storyline right now. There is a point to her and to the ultimate main story arch thats going on this season. Bela I'm a little less sure about, but willing to give her a chance to be a part of the bigger picture.
