| Moderator ![]() | I love them both tremendously but season 2 takes it for me b/c how can you not just wanna hug emo DEAN. The genie ep was... What is and what should never be.

| Moderator ![]() ![]() | I expected more out of what the children with special powers were gonna do, but the anti-climatic end to the YED didn't bother me. I didn't want him to have a big out, I wanted him dead. The problem is he should have died in the season 1 finale but they hung onto him. The only way to kill him was with the gun and a gun only takes a couple of second to shoot, not sure how else they could have drawn it out. I wanted there to be a FREAKING ARMY of special kids though. I wanted the war to start there, but it didn't, not really. Thats the only thing I was disappointed in. But Emo Dean made up for that in my opinion because the speech he gave to Sam pushed the episode into my top five. Maybe not everyone will agree, but everytime I watch that scene I get choked up. I though 2.16 - Roadkill was way lacking. It was there comback after a few weeks off and it wasn't bad, it just wasn't very interesting. 2.17- Heart I though was overly emotional. I got what they were trying to do, but it was overkill in my opinion and felt rushed. At the end where tehy decided to kill Madison they said "we've tried everything" but we didn't see them do a damn thing to help her. I think they should have split that episode into a two parter. Left part one where we find out she STILL is a werewolf and part 2 be a race to try and save her and ultimately they fail. That would have been more powerful for me in my opinion. 2.19 - I liked the Folsom Prison one. I was disappointed in the lack of Johnny Cash anywhere in the episode, but overall it was interesting and funny. 2.20 What is and what should never be - I freaking loved this episode. The overall emotion of it was intense but not over the top. Having Dean have to choose between being able to live out a happy normal life or go back to a world where his mom is dead, his brother is unhappy and his died gave his life for him...I thought it was nearly perfectly executed. 2.21 - AHBL 1....I thought that the purpose for the kids was gonna be cooler. The really set the ball up for the second epsiode with this one. It was a good episode in my opinion, but like I said, I didn't like whatthey decided to use the kids for. I thought they were gonna start to turn evil or something and be like the generals in the YEDs army. Instead they all killed each other so they could step into a devil's trap. Why does the YED have different generations of these kids to step into a devil's trap? What does their power even matter. I guess that was my biggest beef with AHBL 1. 2.22 - AHBL2 Emo Dean just killed me, I love it so much and want to snuggle him forever. I really liked the episode overall. Still had the same probelm with why the special kids were so important but whatever, its done with now. Anyway, that is my take on the epsiodes after Tall Tales. --okay so I'm at work and totally bored. No one probably wanted me to go into all that but I did LOL.

Now I wanna say a bit about the eps after Tall Tales: 2.16 - Roadkill: I agree that it was kinda lacking. I somehow expected more from it, being the first new ep after a few weeks of hiatus and also guest-starring Tricia Helfer from my beloved BSG. But I gotta admit that I can't really put my finger on what I didn't like about the ep. Therefore I could say that it didn't leave a strong impression on me. Well, except a meh maybe. Or maybe I am still unhappy about me not realizing until the end that Molly was dead while my bf knew that in like five seconds. 2.17- Heart: It felt overdone to me. I couldn't really buy into Sam being so broken up about having to kill Madison (but that might be because I saw a BSG ep dealing with a similar theme-having to kill someone you love- just a few days before Heart so that I somehow compared those 2 show's episodes. And BSG won since the emotions shown there felt so much more logical and therefore much more real and believable). I feel bad for saying this but while watching I couldn't really decide if I wanted to roll my eyes or start laughing. I agree that making the episode a two-parter might have helped because then everything could have happened over a longer time-span therefore making what happenend seem less rushed and out of the blue. BTW that doesn't mean I don't believe in love at the first sight or getting attached to a person in a short time. It just felt to me like it happened too quickl to Sam. 2.18 Hollywood Babylon: I don't remember much of that episode so I don't have much to say about it. 2.19 Folsom Prison Blues: I liked it ok. 2.20 What is and what should never be: For some reason, this episode did nothing for me. Then again, I'm made out of stone. 2.21+22 AHBL 1+2: I really had a problem with the special kids. The whole season they were made up to be so important and yet they never reached their full potential storyline-wise. It felt like a huge built-up- and then nothing. Kinda wasted actually. I hoped that the kids to play a bigger role. And, like I already said, I was sorta disappointed by the quick death of the YED. Another huge built-up followed by something rather uneventful.

| Moderator ![]() ![]() | The special kids could have had so much more done with them, and the YED purpose seemed odd. Spoilers I've heard basically say that their done with that whole chapter though. But there were other generations of special kids so I don't know what that all is going to amount to. Its okay that you didn't like the genie episode but it was my fav overall SPN episode.

| Yeah, I didn't expect them to get back to the YED or the special kids. But I still would have liked it if they didn't play both of them up an a huge way- and then nothing. That might actually be what bothered me most about season 2 of SN. Why setting all this up when it has only teeny tiny consequences?
