| Senior Member | Okie, as I'm really well-behaved and I always respect the rules, I'm gonne be for once back on topic.... As I've read some interviews with J2 that they made while they were in UK, I decided to look up some that was made with Misha and here you go..... Ten Minutes with Supernatural’s Misha Collins May 4, 2009 by Cynthia It’s been nearly a year since we were introduced to Supernatural’s first angel in residence, Castiel. With his unblinking stare and deep, humorless voice, he’s been guiding Dean Winchester down a biblical path that’s leading them all straight into the ultimate maelstrom known as the apocalypse. But when the director yells cut, Castiel falls away and in his place stands the witty and charming Misha Collins, fitting in on the Supernatural set as if he’d been there since day one. Listen in as Misha Collins talks to me about body swaps, the fear of God and his recent dual role as both Castiel and the human vessel he calls home. Cyn: Last week’s episode “The Rapture,” was a total tour de force for you, wasn’t it? How hard was it to play two different characters in the same episode? Misha: It was a challenge on a couple of levels. I needed to really flush out a distinct character [for Jimmy] that was going to have different physical, vocal, and personality traits so that there was going to be a clear distinction between him and Castiel. It was a challenge to stay on top of exactly where I was in the story, because there were flashbacks and different arcs for each of the characters, so there was a lot going on that required me to be attentive. It was interesting and I enjoyed it. Maybe next season I could ask Eric to let me play all the characters . . . Cyn: Well, the fans have been bugging Eric Kripke for a body swap episode. So maybe one of the Winchester boys could change places with Castiel. Misha: Oh, that would be fun. That would be a great opportunity to mock one another. Cyn: If you made the switch, which of the boys would be easiest for you to mock. . . or shall we say, imitate? Misha: (laughs) Jared and Jensen have both given me a lot of material to work with on the mocking, so it’s hard to say, probably a toss up. It would be more absurd for me to play Jared just because he seems so gigantic to me. He’s just so tall that there’s something in that that would be inherently, physically different. So, I think that that would probably be the most fun to do. Cyn: When Castiel returned from his trip “home” he had some rather biting comments for Dean. What exactly happened up there to make him do such a 180? Misha: I honestly don’t know that much more than you do about why the change in attitude, except for some things that I do know that you don’t know. Cyn: Could you vague that up a bit more, Misha? Misha: I’m guessing when I say, I think that [Castiel] was dragged up to heaven and he was tortured or very sternly rebuked in some way that, pardon the expression, put the fear of God back in him and now he’s back to toeing the party line, which is how he started. I think that’s where Castiel was in episodes one and four of the season. But I think he started to have a lot of doubt and he started to develop a fondness for the boys and concern for their well being and I think that he was dragged back upstairs and. . . there was something a little bit telling in what Anna says. Something to the effect that it’s really, really bad news to be dragged back upstairs and that, to me, makes it sound like maybe there was some waterboarding that went on up there. Cyn: That’s a tough concept for me. The fact that there are angels torturing angels in heaven. Misha: Right. Well, you know in “On the Head of a Pin” we saw the angels asking Dean to do them a favor and help torture Alistair, so it’s certainly not something that is out of the realm of possibility. It’s something that’s in their toolbox that they would consider doing. It seems like, for angles, sometimes the ends do justify the means, which I think has been a source of a lot of Castiel’s doubt up until this point. Cyn: Knowing how Supernatural likes to go out with a bang each season, I imagine you’ve had more than your share of hours on set recently. Misha: The finale itself is a bigger episode than most, so they even added an extra day for the shooting just so they could get it all in. Definitely long hours but it’s a lot of fun. Cyn: And will we be seeing more of you next season? Misha: I got a letter, so it’s official and I’m delighted to be part of the show for next year. resource: http://www.sfuniverse.com/2009/05/04...misha-collins/ Here's the another one which makes me love Misha even more, lol. Come one, he just had to say 'homoerotic tension' This interview is older, but I'm pretty sure I didn't post in on here and I personally haven't read this one before. But seriously he's so funny and smart. I could listen to him for days, months ![]() Well, the show has been picked up for a fifth season, and you are now going to be a series regular. How does that feel? Collins: Good, good. It feels great to be a series regular. I mean, you get more money, for starters [laughs]. Which never hurts. And I'm excited to have a job lined up for next year and not have to wonder where my next meal is coming from. You're moving to Vancouver, Canada, where the show shoots? Collins: Yeah. I'm actually looking forward to moving to Vancouver. I've lived in Los Angeles for 10 years, and it feels like a good time to spend a little time out of the city. I love Los Angeles, and I'm sure I'll miss it, but I'm also kind of hankering for a change. It feels like everything is moving according to plan. Your character, Castiel, is accused by Anna [Julie McNiven] of not being able to feel real emotion, but he seems to have a real affection for Dean [Jensen Ackles]. How do you work with that sort of dichotomy? Collins: Yes, how do you explain the homoerotic tension [laughs]? ... I think that it's sort of, by the transitive property, he's beginning to feel emotion ever so slightly. That's my answer to the question. By his proximity to Dean, some of Dean's human properties are beginning to rub off on Castiel. And he's starting to feel, and I think that he doesn't really know how to interpret the feelings. I wondered if something like what happened to the character Anna will happen to Castiel. Do you think it's possible that this could result in a situation where he would decide not to be an angel anymore (like Anna did) if he gets too close to Dean and his human emotion? Collins: I have no idea what they're going to do next year, but since they've established that angels can fall and feel emotion and have real human experiences, it stands to reason that they're at minimum going to flirt with that possibility with Castiel. It seems like it would heighten the dramatic tension nicely. And it would be really fun to play that as an actor, experiencing that for the first time. Feeling emotion. There's this great Wim Wenders movie, Wings of Desire, ... the Nicolas Cage movie City of Angels was sort of a remake of that German movie. In Wings of Desire, Bruno Ganz, who is the actor in that film, he's an angel who falls and then begins to feel human emotion and goes through a transformation. And watching him go through that transformation is so cool, and playing that myself is an exciting prospect, so I hope they go in that direction. That would be really fun. So are we going to get to see your wings? Not just the shadow of them? Collins: I have a suspicion that the wings, ... there is no way that they would fail to disappoint. And, you know, since we've just seen them as shadows, no one knows what they really look like. Maybe they're actually only 3 inches tall [laughs]. Now, you don't want people to think you have small wings ... Collins: No, no. That would be embarrassing. Collins: I would be trying to find wing enlargement. I'm sure someone has that on the Internet. Collins: That's right. So, unlike the vampires in Twilight, who seem to have no enemies, there are creatures that can beat you. So will we see any new powers from Castiel? Will there be more ass-kicking this season? Collins: Yeah, you know, it's funny. For all of Castiel's near-omnipotence, in the fights that he's had so far, he's gotten his ass kicked. There's going to be a couple much more brutal fight scenes this season, where Castiel, if not wins the fights, at least holds his ground a little better than he has in the past. So, yeah, maybe he's getting his sea legs. Are we going to see any more angels? I know we've got Castiel, Uriel [Robert Wisdom] and Anna ... Collins: You know, I don't know if I'm supposed to talk about it, but I'm going to just say yes. I think you're going to meet my angel boss. Do angel bosses wear suits? Collins: I actually haven't seen what my angel boss is wearing, but we all seem to be fairly well dressed [laughs]. ... So are we going to find out more about the body Castiel took over? Collins: We're going to meet the guy who Castiel possesses, and he's a devout man, which was stated earlier. And we've already shot that, and it was a lot of fun to shoot a whole different character from Castiel. resource: Sci-Fi Wire TELEVISION INTERVIEW: Getting Angelic with Misha Collins May 6th, 2009 · Posted by: M R Reed in Hollywood Insider Supernatural season 4 has been a wild roller coaster ride for fans and viewers alike as Dean and Sam Winchester (Jensen Ackles & Jared Padalecki) have faced some of the toughest challenges of their ‘hunter’ careers: from Dean being pulled out of hell by an angel to take on a mission from God to Sam becoming addicted to the demon blood from which he gains powers to defeat those very same demons. Along for this ride with the Winchester brothers is the Angel Castiel, played by the charming and very talented Misha Collins who recently received his official notice that his character is going to be regular in the upcoming Supernatural season five. Yet before fans, viewers and actors cross that bridge, there are two more episodes left in season four and they promise to be the wildest part of the ride yet and Eclipse Magazine had a chance to spend ten minutes talking to Misha Collins about his role so far in season four as the angel Castiel. “I think Castiel is one of the most interesting roles I’ve taken on,” Misha says when asked about the difficulty of playing a character to which human emotions are an alien thing to him. “Castiel hasn’t been among humans for several thousand years and he is not sure what humanity is about, but he is learning from his association with Dean to tap into emotions and to feel them,” Collins says of Castiel. At he same time though the actor has also been appreciating the challenge of playing a character with little or no emotions. “I’ve enjoyed playing this character to which emotions and not being human is a vital part of who he is. In stepping outside of humaness and having to play a nonhuman role has given me an opportunity to look at my own humanity and actions as a human being. It’s been an interesting experience.” Misha says that playing this kind of character that hasn’t interacted with humans or been inside of human form for thousands of years also affects the way that Castiel deals with physical confrontation. “Castiel isn’t used to being human and dealing with the reactions that the human body has to pain. He can put his hand on a hot burner and know that the body he is in is feeling the pain, but Castiel is slow to react to it because he has to take time to process it. That’s why he doesn’t always have the best reactions in a physical fight because he is used to battling on a more supernatural level with different powers and perceptions.” In the latest episode, ‘The Rapture’, fans and viewers got to see how Castiel came to chose the human form he is possessing and we got to meet the man behind the angel, Jimmy Novak. I asked Misha what it was like to be basically playing three different characters at one time since we not only see him playing Castiel, but both Jimmy in present time and in flashbacks. “It was challenging,” Misha says with a laugh. “This is the first time I had to actually read a script over three times before I was able to feel comfortable with how I was going to approach this kind of jumping back and forth between Jimmy in the present and how he was in the flashbacks and go back into playing Castiel. Thankfully I have an excellent crew to work with. Jared and Jensen are great guys to be hanging out with and working with. Everyone in the Supernatural family is very supportive. It’s one of the best sets I’ve worked on.” At the end of ‘The Rapture’, we see that Castiel, who had been summarily yanked from Jimmy’s body and sent back to heaven for what we can only assume was something akin to an ‘attitude adjustment’, was back to being very unemotional and seemed to had lost all the ‘humanizing’ he had undergone from befriending Dean. I asked Misha if this ‘hard reset’ of his character was because of the renewal of ‘Supernatural’ for a fifth season and the possible need to put the brakes on his character’s development so that things could be stretched out more slowly. “Actually the hard reset was necessary for what is coming up in the final two episodes,” Misha says while being careful not to give out too much of spoiler. “We are going to see Castiel going through changes again before season four is over.” The one thing that hasn’t changed however is Castiel’s wardrobe. At the end of ‘The Rapture’ Castiel was still wearing the same ‘holy tax account’ outfit he was wearing in the season opener, ‘Lazarus Rising’. Misha was a bit surprised about this as well. “You would think that the first thing Jimmy would have done when he got home was put on totally different clothes,” Collins says with a laugh. When I mention that despite the constant wear, Castiel’s clothing still looks to be in pretty good shape, Misha lets us in on a little known secret about his character. “Not only can Castiel heal the human body he’s possessing, but he has magical clothes mending abilities as well.” Good thing too, cause with Misha getting the official nod to regular character status in season five, it looks like Cas is going to be wearing those threads for a little bit longer. Outside of working on ‘Supernatural’, Misha Collins has been taking part in the adventures of being a convention guest at ‘Supernatural’ related conventions held in the USA by Creation Conventions and most recently the All Hell Breaks Loose convention in Sydney, Australia. “It’s been a wonderful experience and nothing is more humbling or more rewarding than being on stage for a roomful of people who love your work and your character and want to share that love with you,” Misha says of his warm reception by fans attending the conventions. Besides his first foray into convention attendance, ‘Supernatural’ is also Misha Collin’s first time to be involved in something that has merchandising attached to it and he is looking forward seeing what kind of Castiel merchandizing is on its way. “My belief is you really haven’t made the big time until your face is on a dinner plate,” he laughs then asks me what kind of things he might have to look forward to seeing himself on. I tell him its pretty much everything from trading cards to calendars to jewelry. I think I left Misha a little overwhelmed by what’s in store for him on that front as the publicist told us our time was up. Another one : Exclusive: Misha Collins Interview Written By: cjoyce on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 12:00pm PopStar: What is your favorite episode so far in season four of Supernatural? Misha Collins: I think it is probably Lazarus Rising which was the first episode this season. I just thought it was very exciting, not Knowing what was going on or who would save Dean. But then again, I have a distorted perception because that was the first episode that I was in so I was just excited which might have skewed my Vantage Point. PopStar: Why do you think Castiel has so many doubts and why do you think he revealed them to Dean? Misha Collins: Dean is Castiel's closet human confidant and human beings wrestle with Doubt all the time. Human beings are inherently conflicted and uncertain and angels aren't supposed to have Doubt. They are supposed to just have pure conviction all the time and follow orders. So I think that Castiel is going to Doubt confession with Dean because I think Dean is someone who Castiel feels will understand Doubt. Castiel has Doubt because of his exposure to Sam and Dean and I think he also has doubts because he has orders that seem to go against his own moral compass. For example, he is given orders to smite an entire small town in order to kill a witch however that doesn't really resinate as conduct worthy of an Angel. PopStar: How do you think fans will react to the season finale of Supernatural? Misha Collins: Well Knowing Supernatural fans, some are going to love it and some are going to hate it, and they are all going to have very passionate opinions. I think that it is definitely heading towards the apocalypse, it is going to get down to the wire and Sam and Dean are doing everything they possibly can to prevent the apocalypse from happening. It is going to be thrilling and also very surprising; I do not think it is what people will expect. PopStar: If you had to write a storyline for Castiel what would he be doing differently? Misha Collins: It would be fun to see Castiel get a girlfriend. I would love to really see Castiel experience human situations and move out of the robotic Angel realm he is in. PopStar: If Castiel got a girlfriend who would you like them to cast as your love interest? Misha Collins: Penelope Cruise. PopStar: Recently you have made appearances at the Supernatural Conventions. What are your thoughts and will you do more? Misha Collins: I did a convention in Los Angeles and one just in Australia and I will do them again. They are actually very fun; at first I was a little anxious because I was not sure what I was getting into. I have not been mauled too much which is nice, but, yeah, overall it has been a very positive experience for me. PopStar: We have all heard about the crazy prank wars on set of Supernatural. Does that still happen? Collins: No, not really. I think that in the first couple of seasons there were a lot of pranking going on between Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles and our director Kim Manners. I think they all realized that they were all going to be working together for a long time and if they kept it up it would escalate out of control. They are not dousing one another with water or sewing up each other's pants leg anymore; it is more general shenanigans and a lot of laughing. Pretty early on around the second episode I was in they all starting ripping me pretty well. Jared always says "I got you from Perdition" like he was a robot because he would make fun of how the way I say my dialog; so that builds up the Confidence nicely [laugh]. PopStar: Message to the fans. Misha Collins: Keep watching Supernatural because it keeps getting better and better! LoL, I know but another one... he's so awesome!! By Jarett Wieselman on May 14, 2009 4:06 PM After three seasons "Supernatural" was in danger of falling into a rut -- bringing Dean back from hell could have easily been a jump the shark moment. But the show easily avoided death by fan apathy by introducing the character of Castiel, an angel with some less-than-divine behavior. Bringing Castiel so brilliantly to life is Misha Collins, who possesses all the humor and personality his on-screen persona lacks. I had a chance to chat with the actor prior to tonight's bound-to-be-shocking season finale and he dropped a bombshell, you guys -- "Supernatural" might not be coming to an end next year as previously reported! PopWrap: Tonight's season finale looks to be rather epic. Where do we find Castiel tonight? Misha Collins: Well, he's caught between a rock and a hard place. He's being asked to do things that don't really sit well with him. But it's the ultimate test of his devotion to the heavens. PW: Castiel has been something of a mystery all year long. Has he done anything that's surprised even you? Misha: Well, there was that time early on when he smirked -- discovering any hints of humanity within him has been really interesting for me. And his see-sawing between being a good obedient solider and striking out on his own has given me a lot of fun stuff to play with. PW: Was that smirk something that was written on the page or your idea? Misha: I think that was a moment I brought to the scene ... but my memory might not be serving me well, I could be plagiarizing. PW: That's your right as an actor, steal the writer's ideas! Misha: That's right! Not only was that my invention, but I also wrote the episode! [laughs] PW: Coming into this role, how much did you know about who Castiel was? Misha: Very little. I knew that there would be a good angel/bad angel vibe but I think with "Supernatural" there is a lot of danger in assuming that a character is going to be one thing -- they'll always turn out to be something else. PW: Do you believe Castiel is good or bad? Misha: I think at his core he's good. And the rug hasn't been totally pulled out from under me yet, so that's a relief. But at the same time, I have not known much of anything, he could turn out to be evil at any point. PW: True, it's not like he reveals lots of personal info Misha: Right. It's all very abstract word of god info -- dialogue that's real easy to phone in! But it's been cool to see this character, who initially seemed like a bit of a robot, with no emotions of feelings, become such a dynamic character with room for growth. PW: And he's really been embraced by the show's hardcore fans -- which is good because genre fans can be a little nuts. Take it from one. Misha: Um ... I think a little nuts is an understatement. PW: Some have even gone as far to say the addition of your character revitalized the show Misha: That's a huge compliment, so I'll take it. In addition to writing and acting in all the episodes, I'm also single-handedly the ratings' boost. The CW would have folded without me! PW: Right, it was your idea to bring back "90210" and "Melrose Place" also, right? Misha: Yeah, they didn't like the ideas in the first few meetings, but eventually they came around! PW: Well, since you have such pull, can you convince everyone to keep the show going beyond next year? Misha: Well, honestly, I'm not sure next year will be the last. I think that may have just made for a juicer story. My understanding is that Eric [Kripke, creator] originally pitched the show with a five-year plan and I think a lot of people took that to mean "only five years." That's not my understanding -- if the story wraps up and everyone wants to walk away, alright. But from what I've heard from Eric, Jared [Padalecki] and Jensen [Ackles] is that they're open to any possibilities. PW: Plus, how bummed would you feel having joined three years in? Misha: Honestly, I would feel jipped! If it were up to me, "Supernatural" would go on for much longer. But sadly it's the only thing I'm not in charge of. PW: With all the focus on higher powers, I wonder if there will come a point when the show has to present its vision of what God looks like? Misha: Honestly, I think that would be tricky to pull off well. God would probably be best left in the abstraction. PW: Who would you cast? Misha: Hmm, Morgan Freeman? I don't think he's the right God for us PW: Yeah, he's not nearly gritty enough -- maybe Henry Rollins? Misha: Maybe, or Miley Cyrus! PW: Casting Miley Cyrus as God might be what brings about the Apocalypse you've been talking about all season. Misha: [laughs] Right, even in the real world! PW: You threw fans for a loop earlier this year when you played Manny Skerrit, a very bendy client on "Nip/Tuck." How did that role come about? Misha: Well, my agent called and asked, "Are you flexible?" And I really am. In high school we had these physical fitness tests and I was the most flexible boy in the history of my school! So it was a prerequisite for being hired and then I spent the next week hunched over in pain. PW: So that was mostly all you? Misha: Yup, not my proudest moment on film. I was actually gratified to know that my grandmother mistakenly taped Fox instead of FX that night, so she missed it. PW: Perhaps "gratified" isn't the best wording? Misha: Oh my, good catch! resource: http://blogs.nypost.com/popwrap/arch...interview.html another one? last one? who knows.... ^^ haha, Cas president... and Misha really wanna girl for Cas.... I'll volunteer ![]() YV: First, congratulations! You’ve signed on to appear in the show’s fifth season as a series regular. What does that feel like? MC: It’s always nice to know you have a job in my line of work … It’s nice. It’s nice. YV: So you’ll be relocating, right? MC: Yes. I’m going to rent a place up in Vancouver. I’m going to go up in a couple of weeks and just sort of figure out where I want to live. I’ll probably relocate in about six weeks. We start shooting in July. YV: Has your role as Castiel changed your outlook on angels? MC: It’s caused me to think a lot more about angels than before. I really never gave the idea of angels much thought before. I think there are presences out there that we can’t see or directly communicate with that have benevolent influence on us. Whether they’re angels or something else, I’m not sure. I definitely don’t have the sense that there are beings in the stratosphere sitting on clouds playing harps. I’m not one of those believers. But it’s been interesting to explore the mythology of angels as well, and learn that, in the Bible, angels are incredibly destructive forces; they really are more warriors of God and implements of destruction than they are the guardian angel perched on people’s shoulders that has become more popular in modern times. YV: Do you think Castiel’s relationship with Dean and the human emotions he’s experiencing will cause him to reconsider being an angel? MC: I think that it’s possible that there can be some serious shake-ups. It’s possible Castiel will fall along the way. I don’t know. I went into the writer’s room; they tried to cover up the Dry Erase board. So I really don’t know what’s going to happen. They like to keep me in the dark for some reason. I would like to see my wings at some point, though. It would be nice. I mean, just the shadow doesn’t cut it. YV: Maybe next season. MC: Maybe YV :Before then, what should fans expect from Thursday’s finale? MC: Well, things are heating up. Things are getting … in a word, apocalyptic. That would be a good summation. I think there’s going to be a lot of big shake-ups in the finale. There will be death. There will be major character changes. Really, the … is going to hit the fan as far as the apocalypse is concerned. Castiel is going to be struggling with orders — very, very distasteful orders — from the heavenly command. He’s been sort of commanded to do things that are kind of awful. He’s struggling with that. Saying more is, I think, too much. YV:How would you like to see your character evolve next season? Where would you like to see him this time next year? MC: I don’t know. The White House? President Castiel? I’d like to see him starting to operate according to his own moral compass. To see him stop looking to others for answers. If he stopped taking orders and really struck out on his own more. I think that would be much more interesting for Castiel. And, maybe, I don’t know … maybe he should get, like, a girlfriend or something. Castiel deserves his scene with a girl in back of the Impala. YV: I’m not sure your fans would like that very much. Is it shocking to see just how much fans love you and your character? MC: Yes. I’m totally shocked. I didn’t even know the fan base of “Supernatural” was as avid as they are. I’ve never really been on a show that has such a devoted fan base. I only sort of peripherally knew of Trekkies … I didn’t really know people could be this enthusiastic about a TV show. So that’s been a shock. And being an object of fan infatuation has also been a shock. It’s been fun and fascinating and a little bit surreal. It hasn’t gotten terribly threatening so until I get a bona fide stalker, I’ll be OK with it. YV: So you haven’t been accosted? MC: Well … it depends on how you define “accosted.” But, you know, not violated, I don’t think. There have been a few people, in very serious tones, who have professed their love for me after a 10-second conversation, which, to me, just felt a little hasty. YV:I guess Jared and Jensen are familiar with that scene. What’s it been like working with them? MC: Oh, those guys are such douche bags. You know, no one ever says that about their co-workers! I wish I could say that I hate working with Jared and Jensen, but I don’t. We just have a lot of fun. We laugh a lot. That’s the biggest challenge on set: Not laughing during takes, which I think is a really good problem to have. I’ve been experimenting with different ways to not laugh. Biting my cheeks is actually very effective. There’s a little tip. YV:The latest episode hinted that Jimmy was giving himself over to Castiel for good. Is that the end of Jimmy? MC: He does say this is it. You can never go back. But just watching the episodes of the last few seasons, no matter what they say or do, people can always come back. I’m certainly not willing Jimmy can never come back. It’s “Supernatural.” Even when they’re dead, burned, disposed, they can still come back. You’re never dead for sure on this show. resource: http://www.boxxet.com/Jensen_Ackles/...ral-l-a-times/ Ok... once again... Misha Collins joined Supernatural this season as the angel, Castiel. Now with rumors of Collins joining the cast of season five as a regular, we were honored here at TV Fanatic to interview this fantastic actor. So what's it like working with two of the hottest actors on television and what's the future of Castiel? Find out in our exclusive interview: TVFanatic.com: So is the ink dry, are you an official season five series regular? Misha Collins: It is official. I received a letter in the mail. I think letters always make things official. I'm thrilled to be apart of it for next season. I'm thrilled I got the news early enough so I can find a new apartment in Vancoucer. I'm not going to be a regular in all the episodes like Jared and Jensen, but I'm definitely gonna be in for the season. TVFanatic.com: What's it like joining a long running show with such an established fan base? Misha: It's been great. I've been really surprised that I've been as welcomes into as well. I didn't even know this fan community existed. Some people are nervous about new people joining the show. They're nervous it's going to take away from Jared and Jensen's time. I think it's absurd. I think the show's core is always going to be about these two brothers and their relationship. I think my character is going to be there to help that storyline. Some people are so enthusiastic to have me on. it's been really cool. I thought i was only gonna do a few episodes. It's been a total surprise for me TVFanatic.com: With such critical fans, do you find yourself checking the internet to see their reactions? Misha: No I'm not an Internet guy. I don't Google around. My mother will occasionally send me things. She enjoys trolling the Internet. I'm not somebody who reads blogs. I barely have time to keep up with my email. TVFanatic.com: What's it like working with Jensen and Jared? Misha: It's great. I honestly couldn't ask for better co-workers. They work really hard. They always show up prepared. With a really good attitude. They're fun and funny and sarcastic and make the experience on the set enjoyable. We just laugh a lot. I've been on so many other sets where everyone is miserable. I'm really happy to be working on Supernatural. TVFanatic.com: We've definitely seen Castiel grow as a character, where do you see him going? Misha: I have no clue. I have feeling that Castiel at his core is a good angel. He's gonna end up serving Sam and Dean in some way. I don't know. That's just my educated guess. It's not like I've gotten a phone call from Eric Kripke, "Oh Misha, we've decided to make Castiel an astronaut next season." TVFanatic.com: And now for the mandatory question, any Supernatural spoilers you can reveal? Misha: Sam is gonna be wrestling with the DTs in the coming episodes as he goes through a little demon blood withdrawl. It's gonna be forced cold turkey withdrawl. It will drives a little wedge between him and Dean. resource: http://www.tvfanatic.com/2009/05/an-...misha-collins/ May 4th, Oh okie guys... this is enough for next few years, lol. I think I kind of got back on topic and hope you enjoy reading as I did Now it's 2am, so I guess time to go to the bed.... See ya...

| All right, young lady, just what were you doing up so late?! And on a weeknight?! The mandroid has really got you slaving away! I thought its effects on you were basically harmless, but now I'm not so sure! There was one interview there I actually hadn't read! ![]() I've been thinking that it'd be a good idea for us to alert one another to interviews (any Supernatural ones, not just Misha's, although I especially hate to miss any of his! They're always extra entertaining! Also, I haven't read enough of Jeff's to recall & judge, but I find his taped interviews delightful; he's very cool and fun and has one of the best smiles on the planet) when we can. I'd probably be too lazy to actually copy & paste them, but I could link 'em. Should we stick them randomly in each actor's thread or make an interview thread? Misha does seem to genuinely be enjoying this experience quite a bit; I really hope he still feels the same way next year! If people can refrain from accosting him (!!) and if he doesn't get too worn out from the workload, he may. I wish the guys would've pranked him at some point. I thought he was just kidding about wanting to be pranked at first, but after about the sixth interview and some con. footage in which he was whining about it, I started to be unsure! |

He's got the peace sign goin', though, albeit rigid and closed. It's the angelic version, I guess, or else he's just learning it and it needs work! | |

I have to say that it's funny. Whole this prank thing. It was so silly that eveyone was asking him that over and over and over again. I had to laugh when I read some other fan's comment "If they ask him once again he's gonna cry" or something like that Quote:
Absolutely you've got it. He's making that in angelic way interview from movieweb - of course cookie, you surely have read that The Rapture was such a big episode for Castiel. At the end, we see him break his emotional ties with Dean. And he sets himself back on a path to follow the original orders from above. Does this mean we are about to see Castiel become more of a hard ass with the brothers? Misha Collins: Yes. I think so. We are going to see Castiel become more of a hard ass in the next episode. Certainly. And that continues through the finale as well. Basically, Castiel got his ass kicked when he got taken back to heaven. He was forced to tow the party line again. I don't know if he was brainwashed or indoctrinated. I don't know what happened, exactly. But he came back, and he is definitely going to Castiel up these last few episodes of the season. He is forcing himself to leave his feelings and empathy with Dean and Sam aside, and just serve to follow the orders of heaven. At the same time, I think he is the same angel. I don't think he has changed to his very core. He hasn't been turned into a robot altogether. With Sam going so far over to the dark side, do you think Castiel is going to step in and help Sam? Or do you think its just going to be an "Angels versus Sam" plotline? Misha Collins: I don't know where this story is going to go. Seeing historically how Eric Kripke has molded and shaped the story, it seems that he likes to play with extremes and opposites. Pushing Sam's character, who used to be the good and pure, innocent, almost dull-eyed of the two brothers from the very beginning, into dealing with demons as much as possible is the most interesting arc for the Sam character. As far as I am concerned, and as far as Jared Padalecki is concerned as well. It allows him to explore a different spectrum of his own psyche. My own gut instinct is that they will never let him go too far. Because we have all grown to really love that character. I can't imagine not having some sort of redemption for him. But again, I have no idea. No one has talked to me about it. I have no insight other than my own wishes on how I'd like to see it go. Copy that. For the season finale, it is called Lucifer Rising. Can you talk about how Castiel fits into the plot? Misha Collins: The finale is all about Sam and Dean doing everything possible to keep the final seal from being broken. Castiel is going to be right in there, involved in that process. Without ruining it, I don't think I can tell you much more than that. With so much drama happening within the circle of angels themselves, who do you think Castiel is taking orders from at this point? Misha Collins: I think Castiel is taking orders from Zachariah, whom we have met. And other angels that are higher up on the angelic hierarchy than him. I think that Castiel still has some conflict about it internally. I think he is being a good little soldier now, and that he is following those orders. With Sam and Dean's father having been placed in Hell a few seasons back, and knowing that Castiel is the only one who can bring people out, do you think he will go into Hell and get John Winchester and bring him back? Misha Collins: I don't know about that. I haven't talked to anyone about extricating John from Hell. Sorry. Jeffery Dean Morgan has become such a big movie star, I think it would be very expensive to bring him back from Hell. I hear that! Misha Collins: But then again, who knows? Do you know what is being planned for your character in season five? Misha Collins: I don't know. The writers just got back into the writer's room yesterday. And I think they are just now starting to hash out what happens with season five. I am going to be in season five. But I don't know to what capacity. Or what my role is going to be. Yeah. I have no idea. I don't even know if Eric knows where he is planning on taking this. I know he leaves a little room for creative latitude, and letting things evolve. But I don't know much. What do you know! Misha Collins: I am a frustrating interviewee, huh? I'm like Ronald Reagan. I don't remember and I don't recall. What have you heard about season five being the last season? Misha Collins: I have heard rumblings here and there. But I have also heard that its, by no stretch of the imagination, true. Or a done deal. Or that anyone actually knows that. I think there are a lot of rumors going on. I talked to Jared and Jensen about it when we were in Australia. Basically, they said that when the show was conceived, Eric Kripe had to prove to the network that he could give them at least five years worth of a show. He told them, "I have this much of a story idea. And it will last for five years. What do you think?" And they said, "Great. You can definitely sustain that for five years." Along that line, I think there has been some confusion. Some things have been taken out of context. It has been turned into, "It's only five years, and its definitely ending at that point." Nobody I have talked to has said that is the case. I think Jared and Jensen have contracts that don't expire until season six. I don't see any reason why it would all have to end with season five. But I am not sitting in the captain's chair on this. If it did come to an end, how would you like to see your character go out? Misha Collins: Maybe with seventy virgins. here is another one with clip. he's really so funny. i haven't seen this clip, neither read that before. http://video.about.com/movies/Misha-...-Interview.htm We are huge Supernatural fans. Where have you been the last few episodes? Misha Collins: "I've been at home in Los Angeles for a couple of episodes. They gave me a break because I started to get tired, but I'm back on now. I'm going actually back up to Vancouver on Monday to shoot the last three episodes of the season." Have you gotten the final script yet? Misha Collins: "No, but I've gotten a synopsis of the final script so unless they've changed it and decided to kill everyone off, it's going to be pretty cool. I don't know if I'm at liberty to say much more than that, but…" Oh come on – nobody is going to hear it. Just say it. Tell me the whole script. Misha Collins: "All right. No, I think that I would probably get sued and then sent to jail so I'm not going to do that. As much as I like you already, there's a connection, I just don't want to… Your husband's right there – I shouldn't hit on you too much." I just talked to Jared [Padalecki] a few weeks ago and he was saying he didn't know what that final script was going to be like yet because they don't know if there's going to be a season five. Misha Collins: "Right. Nothing is guaranteed at this point. It seems like they're definitely leaning toward a season five, but I'm not at the top of the need to know ladder so it could well be something else other than the synopsis that I've seen. But I hope not because I hope to be in season five. It's a selfish interest on my part." So how much fun is it to play an angel? Misha Collins: "Oh, it's a ton of fun. It's really great." You can't really study anything to do that, right? Misha Collins: "No. Well there's not a whole large canon of former angels to draw on except for 7th Heaven. I don't even know. So, yeah, it's kind of fun reinventing the angel as it were." I'm still confused at whether he's a good guy or a bad guy. Do you have an idea? Misha Collins: "I'm confused as to whether he's a good guy or a bad guy too. I think he's confused as to whether he's a good guy or a bad guy." Is it true that if they do go to a fifth season, five will be the last season? Misha Collins: "I have no idea. I know that some people want it to be the last season, and I know that a lot of people don't want it to be. And those are conflicting interests and I don't want to align myself with either camp at this point, so I have no idea what's really going to happen." Before you took the role did you know Supernatural? Misha Collins: "No. I didn't really. I'm not a very good television watcher. I hadn't watched much television at all. But I'd seen it. I knew it was out there but I hadn't watched it. I wasn't a follower of the show. But it's pretty good and that's not just because I'm on it." Are you a fan of the genre? Misha Collins: "I am, yeah." If you had had time, you might have watched this? Misha Collins: "Exactly. Just time constraints." What else are you working on? Misha Collins: "I movie that I helped produce is nominated for an Independent Spirit Award today. So right now I'm working on that. It's called Loot and it's a documentary, and it's nominated in the Truer Than Fiction category, which is very exciting. I hope we will win." It's about two World War II veterans who stole loot when they were in the war – one in the Philippines and one in Austria. This is Lance [Larson]. Lance lives in Utah and he helps them go back to Austria and the Philippines to find this treasure. The only problem is they don't have any maps and the guys are both blind. Other than that it was a cinch." Was that fun? Lance Larson: "It was, four years of fun. " Four years? Why did it take four years? Lance Larson: "Just it took a long time by the time we got it all going." Misha Collins: "Because there were no maps and they were blind." What's it feel like to be nominated for a Spirit Award? Misha Collins: "Pretty good."

| A sure sign one is a little girl is that they object to being called a little girl! HA! I had read those intereviews too, yep, but it'd been a while and, really, I never mind reading his more than once; he's so good at them! Hey, I don't slave for the mandroid! Those intereviews were read gradually over well-spaced time! It's not like I found them all in one night . . . and posted them . . . like some people I know! I, too, hope Misha (or J2) doesn't take fans being silly seriously, either. I would truly never, ever be disrespectful to him or anyone. Hell, I wouldn't even speak to them, let alone do something inappropriate! It's sad, though; some fans truly are crazed (the Jensen Jumper, anyone?! Yikes! Poor guy!) and can ruin it for those of us who are respectful and do know the difference between fantasy and reality. I really think a lot of fans are pretty direspectful, actually. Asking them to do things (when it comes to that, I really admire the fact that Misha seems better at saying "no" than J2! They should learn from him!), asking inappropriate questions, twisting every damned thing they say into something dirty, etc. I'm amazed they put up with it and do so with such aplomb! That makes me think that the good fan experiences must outweigh the bad. I can't imagine, if the cons., etc. were all that bad, they'd keep doing them, no matter what they're paid. (Unless they're contractually obligated, of course! I'm guessing they're not.) |

| I just wanted to say I'm getting a kick out of the contrast between our two avatars! Yours is all Cas looking Cas-y, with his accidental peace sign and the soothing pink background and smiley face; mine is all Misha looking muderous with "Terminate" in angry red over his head! I swear, I wasn't even thinking about that when I made mine! I just saw that photo, thought about my idiotic mandroid situation and . . . it had to be done! (By the way, if Misha ever looked at me like that, I'd probably burst into tears!)I especially like seeing them next to each other! ![]() |

I mean it can't be that bad if you go on stage, and you are a normal guy, but happen to be an actor in a relatively sucessful TV show, and 1400 people are clapping and screaming your name. I din't think the Js or Misha are at the point they can't go gorcery shopping in Vancouver or LA or Texas unharrassed, so maybe the con experiences aren't that bad. Certainly the guest actors, like Gabe and Malik get a kick out of it. And it was probably very interesting for Misha, too. The Js might have grown used to it and bored by it by now, idk. But they sure don't let it show and are very nice to people. Ok, I am rambling on again, while being supposed to do other things, plus bedtime is coming nearer.

But don't worry some of those interviews totally cracked me up hehe.... Quote:
About slash. I said it somewhere around on here, but I don't actually mind Cas/Dean. I don't know, it really doesn't mind me at all. I don't really like Wincest, 'cause it's way too much in my eyes. I love their brotherly bond and how they care abotu each other, but it has no homoerotic tensions for me. I don't like to imagine two brothers together, not really. On the other hand, Dean and Cas's relationship is kind of intensive since the beginning, those long looks they give each other etc. Quote:
You're not that old to make it impossible to call you little girl.... Quote:
