and i still need to ask: who is Van Morrison? Ok, I am going to download his version and put my resteless sould to rest...erm...

I also believe that Jensen has messed with the lyrics..where it should say "in the night like a thief" I can only understand " and I go right to sleep" I am sorry, but that's what I hear!? - this makes it even more hilarous in the context....taking away his heartache and then he goes right to sleep...great attention span there Jensen!!!

ooooooooooooooooooookaaaaaaaaaaaaaay...I heard the song now and I am right there with ya Calena! The Double J act is much much better and everytime I just hear the guitar intro to it my heart sings...so VM does some kind of reggae/dylan mix...hm, not my cuppa tea I'm afraid, can't do with reggae so much unless I am lost on an island slurping juice from a coconut having Sawyer by my side to insult me my perfect holiday I guess ( ah, new idea for a general thread)

I hadn't noticed, but I think you are right. Do you think that was on purpose?

I like Jensen's voice, though.

I'm not into reggae, either.

Oh yeah! I don't like the sun and hot climate, but for Sawyer I would take it. Between insults we could talk about the books he reads - in fact I'm on a mission to read all the books Sawyer reads on the island.

BTW, Nana, have you downloaded the song? It says you must be logged in to download it and I'm not a myspace member.

yes I have - hm, can you handle zip or stuffit files (decompress them i mean?) I could email it..its a little big though

I think he has a great voice when he talks...I don't know what it is but I love the way he talks..and when he sings he puts this country voice on like Chris Kane, so I understand now why he thought that when he sings like Dean he would be singing "out of tune" because then he uses his speaking voice but in this song he uses what he considers his singing voice I guess...hm, couldn't say which is better really - he can carry a tune both ways which I always love in a man, but he needs more confidence, i think he hasnt got that one yet. Did you see the video when he sang at the con? Like a deer in the headlights! Even I wouldn't be that nervous should somone ever get me to sing that song at Karaoke - i have been singing this song everytime i'm driving now and experimenting with the 2nd voice or whatever its called. It's such an easy song to sing for my own voice

A zip-file would be very nice, thank you.

I did, I even posted the link to it in this very thread. Yes you are right, he seemed frightened and I can totally relate to that. I hope with more practise he will become more confident. I'd definitely buy a "Jensen Ackles sings Classic Rock songs" - CD. Speaking of buying CDs I ordered CDs for a ridiculous amount of money on amazon today. Are you interested in a list?
