I have been a fan of the show from the start and i love it Jensen and Jared make the show worth watching they act like real bro's fussing fighting but would die for each i would like to see it go on for a long time to come i would also like the music brought back it don't feel right with out it. the show is not about girls like Bela and Ruby Bela don't do anything for the show Ruby she's not to bad but she just does not fit it's all about Dean and Sam let's keep it that way.

Okay adastra so you'd rather no Supernatural at all instead of some slight annoyance that you have of these 2 new characters, because thats what would have happened if compromises weren't made. The storyline is still the same 2 brothers traveling across America killing Supernatural beings.... the chemistry between Jensen and Jared is still there, yes it comes across differently on tv because the brother's storyline has changed, and if you are trying to imply that their talent is lacking since the last season, I and many others would strongly disagree.I agree I feel the Bella character is being pushed into the storyline unnaturally, but if they didn't have a choice about the character then you can't really blame them or hold it against them.

I think the Ruby character is a great asset to the show, there are some many things they can do with it.... now whether or not you like the person playing it is all about prefernce. There has been so much negitivity surrounding this season and I for one am tired of it, this show is suppose to be fun, it suppose to be something for us all to love and enjoy, not to rip into each other when we have a differernace of opinions. Characters will come and go, whether these 2 stay another season we'll have to see, but real fans of the show will stick with it and have faith in Kripke and the writers, and if you're not a true fan and you don't know how much more you can watch then you should probably get off the bus now because the real fans are tired of the negitivity!!

Thank you for actually having the guts to write the truth. I?ve seen so many articles that have said fans are jealous and need to give the girls a chance. Well there have been seven or so episodes and the girls still haven?t added anything to the show but dumbing the main characters down. Exactly how long am I suppose to be giving them a chance here? Shouldn?t they have added something decent to the show by now? I love the fans and reviewers that say we haven?t given them enough of a chance. Exactly how long do they have to be infecting the show before I say I don?t like them and they are a mistake. Does a whole season have to be wasted before people will admit it?s not working? Or even then are we so blinded that people won?t admit that a mistake was made. It?s not just the addition of two characters that make no sense and add nothing. There is something seriously wrong when new characters make your main characters look like idiots. There is a difference between cuasing trouble and ma

There is a difference between causing trouble and making a character look like a complete fool when you have 2 seasons establishing that they aren?t. I am not amused. Also what happened to the music and lightening!? Give me back that amazing creepy show about two brothers against the world. I did not sign up for a comedy here but that seems to be all we are getting this season.

I tried to stay open minded about the addition of the girls to the show and ignore all the teeth gnashing that was going on amongst other fans. And for a while there I even though Bela might be a good addition to the cast. Wasn't so sure about Ruby, but I didn't want to form a definite opinion until I'd seen them on screen. However I do have to agree with the general opinion here. They really add very little to Supernatural and have almost made me want to stop watching. Ruby is okay and getting more interesting each time we see her. Sure Katie Cassidy's is inexperienced, but with the right encouragement (and as long as the writers treat her character carefully) she could possibly make a reasonable go of it. Bela, however, was obviously shoe-horned in at the last moment - probably under duress by the PTB - and it shows. Her character is such a cardboard cutout it's almost laughable, and the supposed love/hate relationship they're trying to establish between her and Dean leaves me cold.

The show has taken an almost complete turn toward vapidity. The women's characters could have been made much more with better writing and certainly better acting. Not to mention the guys. They've taken complex, dark, heroic archetypes and turned them into caracatures - Dean's reliance on smartassing has now become his central character trait and Sam has suddenly turned into a clumsy goof. A return to where the series didn't treat the audience like hormone soaked idiots would be welcome.

Great post. I have to agree 100%. Katie Cassidy can't act and takes away from what could be an intriguing character. Bela is only smart because the writers are making everyone else dumb. Neither character is engaging and the brotherly bond, the music and the MOTW have been sacrificed so these two can be brought in. It's easy to see that quality has been sacrificed for T

What the heck. OK, Quality sacrifice for TandA, how's that? The girls bring nothing. Ruby would be great, but Katie sucks at acting and it's not because she's young, it's because she can't act. There are younger actresses out there who do an exceptional job. Bela is so shoehorned in, she's a bad and overdone Mary Sue, and only looks good because everyone around her is made to look stupid. I am a good fan, I just make a lousy sheep.
