I then, on my way out of this pub, ran into this 'Dean' guy ... who had seen what happened and had been the only one to follow me out to check if I were ok.... I stood there opposite him and just cried... He then took me to local takeaway shop, bought tea for me and then took me home. However I'm very curious how you'll like a certain Tim Riggins when you watch FNL. I hope we'll get some links to see S2 for you, because that's when he's at his best - Tim Riggins is the guy in the rain in the pic I posted earlier in what I think was Eric's thread.

He also needs to be able, much like that Dean character to go to all the daft stupid family/town like get togethers with me from time to time... as he too would probably expect me to go all out to look amazed as I stare admiring his handywork as we stare for solid hours at a time under the bonnet of a car at all things oily.... and so forth.... really works both ways, IMO!!! But to strike the perfect balance... you very much have to have both!!!

BTW, I just got a call from my mom, my Grandaunt just passed away in Dublin, It was expected for some time.... We were particularly close as well... She was the lady who gave me and my ex hub the chocs on our wedding day many years ago ... I think I told you that story... anyway, I am waiting to hear back about funeral arrangements and if I can get time off work etc... may just pop on a flight to go to see her off!!! So I will let you know if I do go... think my mam might be needing me there... I'll let you know... when I know...

I see your point, I really do. But smiley, what's a girl to do if there just aren't any sparks from her side, even if the guy is perfectly nice, well behaved and considerate? The guy who was crushing on me was witty, funny and smart, and I liked him as a friend. One day, we were at the theatre with school, some Tschechov play, he took my hand. And smiley ... it was sweaty! A lot! If I had liked the guy "that way" it wouldn't have bothered me, but as things were I was less than thrilled. Soon after I had the dreaded "let's just be friends" talk, but things never were the same between us after that, understandably.

Frankly I don't really remember that much about Dean's apperance post-breakup - he was pretty depressed and the girl he married certainly wasn't the love of his life. But just watch and see.

yeah I suppose .... I have also gone out with guys that had the stupidest slightest of faults that totally used to freak me out.... In fact when I used to say to friends... we are breaking up because.... blah blah blah... they all used to look at me like I had a screw loose!!! I can see your point in one sense... but I sppose if you tryly love the guy... or indeed vica versa... those niggly things don't matter a jot... or at least shouldn't!!!
That saying... you would want to hear some of the rubbish excuses guys have made concerning me when they broke up with me... or when I broke up with them.... seriously... they were totally laughable.... I still laugh now about them... seriously... I had worse ones in mind of ways I can really irritate a bloke.... they weren't even close to being top of my list.... nope... not even close!!!! It stemmed from the fact I read an article about a prominent UK celeb of the same name as my boss who is a bit of a waste of time generally... does lots of drugs, bathes in champagne and generally spends her whole day dressing up her little rat like looking dog that she carries around in her handbag..... and as I was in one of those 'Smiley's bored' moods....

So I doctored up her work badge photo... enlarged it... photocopied it and put it all about the office with all these captions....
As I did not get a call from her today about it... I am betting that she spent the day today ... finding captions that would work around the office for me... as payback.... Or she will pay me back tonight with the next joke/trick/gag... she may pull on me!!!

Yep... I have a common enough first name but thankfully, there ain't many about with it at the moment... so I may be spared the up to date captions!!!

It makes more sense - like incidentally most shows do - when you watch them in the right order. What season of Buffy might the eps that you saw be? I take it Angel isn't around anymore, so it's must be from S4 up. Tell me something that was happening in the Buffy eps.
Imo Buffy was best in the first 3 seasons when Angel was on Buffy. However I accept and understand why Angel had to go. Angel the series tends to be really great in the first halfs of its seasons and then when the end of the seasons comes nearer they tend to get a little crazy, so depending wether the eps you watched were in the first or second half of whatever Angel season it is, they are better or not so great.

I could see AJ really liking that show.... He would squeal with delight to see those kind of scenes... He really loves the way these shows master Special effects... He goes on about it for ages.... In fact.... even months later, he is still going on about that scene in SPN when the maggots were in the burger the guy was eating in that witch ep.... He rewound that scene at least ten times in a row... and said wow, after each take... So funny....

Angel has been much the same thing... tham all out on a street fighting... not much going on... harder to follow then Buffy... IMO...

Well, that's not really much info for me to find out what season, seeing as they do that all the time, save for the last season maybe. If whatever TV station is airing them has any sense, though, and the are at Buffy S4 this should be Angel S1, cause they "happen" at the same time, there are even one or 2 crossover eps where Buffy visits Angel or vice versa.

I'm soon off to my ex boyfriend R. who will hopefully be able of helping with that new programme I have to use for maintaing our school homepage, I hate it, I much preferred the programme I used up until now.

It's near the start of S1....a few eps in I believe. He was with a girl who has visions last night and a guy, presumably her boyfriend... a guy with glasses that looked very clever, who was reading this book about Angels forthcoming death... Have to say though, it hasn't grabbed me at all yet... not sure AJ would get it either...

It has just occured to me that we may at times come across as total TV addicts... as at this time, I have about 10 different shows on the go... all of different storylines etc... Even you, Calena are also coming across as a TV nerd.... We really should get paid for our much valued opinions... or rather my opinion of it... and your much valued explanation of it...

Actually it's not at the moment... We didn't but that's due to the stupidness of the programme, can't blame J2. I tried to do some of the things R. showed me how to yesterday, but I can't get them right for the life of me. So I asked him to write me a step by step "how to" chart - he is bored at work because he hasn't much to do right now anyway. The sad part is that only covers one little area and there are vast amounts even R. doesn't know about this programme. But as long as his work remains boring he is up for doing trial and error and thus helps me greatly, because while he is stubborn and doesn't give up easily when he doesn't know how to do something on the PC, I am rather for throwing the PC out of the window after a short time and doing more fun stuff. That said that the programme is dumb is not the PC's fault at all. The stubbornness and spending hours on the computer if need be ticked me off big time when we were a couple, but now it really works to my advantage.

You have to sort out your DVD players anyway, you want to watch it in the comfort of your own of with AJ at some point!

2-3 shows.... it's nearer 10 that we have already been talking about on here... We watch or have watched at some stage.... SPN, PB, GiGi, DA, Firefly, SV, Buffy, Angel, the show you were on about a few posts back, sorry name has escaped me at this time... ] ... well that's 9 to start off with...
Then of course, you were talking about shows like DC and DOOL.... ... that makes at least 10+.... Yeah... We really do talk that much TV!!!!

Sad really... one could assume we have entirely no life other then to be in front of a TV rating and discussing shows...

Oh yeah... and you have talked about GA and the Star Wars films, LOTR, POTC... etc...etc....etc.... The list goes on and on......... ....

LOL.... Seriously... I just give up with that thing now.... I go in the front door... announce myself... out really loud.... run to kitchen, prepare the food in the bowl and run back out..... the food has all disappeared by next visit so I assume it is eating ok... Well the food is gone and it is still alive and looks entirely too well fed as usual!!!

Cal... I had a really crappy day today... I spent most of it shaking and crying...
We nearly lost one of our kids today... as in lost... died... etc... it really upset the hell out of me... Let me explain... as I am just getting it off my chest now ... I am already on the vodka tonight, I am that upset...

This morning, my boss and I were to take 12 kids ranging in ages from 5-10 years on this trip to a castle... two of these children, a 5yr old boy and his 10 yr old sister, came in and sister, let's call her Mary.... told us that their Granny rang her up this morning and offered to take them instead for the day... and that she was deciding wheither to go to Grans or stay with us for the day and go to Grannies tomorrow! The younger brother... lets call him John, already decided that he wanted to go with us for the day and see Granny another time!
So then, after a brief time, she decided to go off to Granny and mum brought her off for the day. We were then down to 11 children between the two of us... [my boss & I]

So then, off we went... for the record, our day went brilliantly... great time was had by all... I was quite proud of them all as they were actually really well behaved and passers by remarked on this a few times during the day... so mood was good... weather stayed nice and fun was had by all!!!

About 3pm ish... we got a call from this girl's [Mary's] father... telling us that she was involved in a horrific accident a few hours earlier and had just been deemed out of danger... Basically, she somehow, fell into or onto a piller/railing of some sort... that severed her carotid and nearly her whole arm off from just below the armpit...

They wanted us to return back to school/club ASAP so dad could collect her brother as they wanted him there in case of further complications... etc...

To say we were both sick was something of an understatement... I have only taught the girl for one year... My boss has known her for at least 6...
We then had to calmly collect our thoughts... get kids all sorted and back on bus on way home to base... without letting on the slightest thing... We had to both keep up the 'happy faces' look.... We were both sick... tearful and worried for her... The whole bus for some reason had a pile of 'dopey' wasps banging away continuasly at the same damn windows... [and me and her tried to lighten our moods by swotting at these things on the way home... for the record, I am really crap at killing wasps... I hate the whole thing... I swot them with the weight of a feather... they keep getting back up and flying around... This amused the children a bit and kept us busy....

All this boy could say at the time was ... 'Hope Mary likes this bracelet I got her in the shop... she likes red' .... He bought her a cheap 50p bangle at the shop in there with his pocket money... ... He was holding it all the way home... Not knowing a thing... It was not our place to tell him... and it wasn't certainly the thing to talk about in front of all her friends... The bangle bit for us made it so much worse... All we both were thinking about was why didn't we make her come with us....
We kept them all safe and well without one accident during the day... Seriously... I am sick at this time...

I'm on call for these parents... I may have to take the lad in for a bit if her condition worsens... but Dad said.. all is doing ok for now... Seriously... Life truly sucks at times!!! No other word for it... It just sucks!!!

Ok... that's my little rant at the world over with for today... just wanted to get that off my chest...

Ok then.... And back to a happier thought.....
