Got emailed this recently .... think you might find this funny Tanya Why Men Are Just Happier People What do you expect from such simple creatures? * Your last name stays put. * The garage is all yours. * Wedding plans take care of themselves. * Chocolate is just another snack. * You can be President. * You can never be pregnant. * You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park. * You can wear NO shirt to a water park. * Car mechanics tell you the truth. * The world is your urinal. * You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky. * You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt. * Same work, more pay. ! * Wrinkles add character. * Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100. * People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them. * The occasional well-rendered belch is practically expected. * New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet. * One mood all the time. * Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat. * You know stuff about tanks * A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase. * You can open all your own jars. * You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness. * If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend. * Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack * Three pairs of shoes are more than enough. * You almost never have strap problems in public. * You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes. * Everything on your face stays its original color. * The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades. * You only have to shave your face and neck. * You can play with toys all your life. * Your belly usually hides your big hips. * One wallet and one pair of shoes -- one color for all seasons * You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look. * You can ' do' your nails with a pocket knife. * You have freedom of choice concerning growing a moustache. * You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes. No wonder men are happier. And that is why I want to come back a man in my next life...... Quote:

One of my sisters lives less a mile away from him now in Co. Sligo, West Of Ireland... Sometimes, when I am home in Ireland visiting her, we go walking in the woods overlooking/adjoining his homestead... the woods are so beautiful.... and so peaceful.... They stretch for miles!!! I get totally lost in them... could spend a whole day just walking about them!!!! I dunno if they have been to Portugal yet on their travels... They never really stop preforming though... they are quite busy generally!!! They played in Crokers... Now that I didn't know.... Being over here in England, I have sort of lost track lately of some things going on at home in Ireland... but... truly, you have become really big in Ireland when you get to play a gig in Croke Park.... I thought they were about to play one there.... Oh I dunno... Fair play to them anyway.... they are in good company with all the rock acts that have gone before them.... I've even been to some of those gigs... magic place!!!! Talking of Crokers.... Here's a bit about the ground... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croke_Park I was at one time in my early football days actually supposed to play a game of Gaelic football on that pitch when I was about 17/18years old.... well I say play.... It was a tournament down in the West Of Ireland, with the latter stages being played in that stadium!!! ... I was on bench to play... even though I had a dislocated finger at the time... So, as my poor body took quite a beating that year... I really just grew tired of being both wrapped up in a pile of either plaster or bandages... and I just got fed up of also wearing my gum shield more then any other item of clothing!!! Croke Park though.... is quite a pitch.... I used to go there all the time as a kid to watch games with my dad..... proper games when you could actually hear the sound of a solid ash hurley breaking a bone or two in a players leg as they were being clattered from the other side of the ground.... Last time I was there was to see Ireland play against England in the rugby last year..... I was in hysterical tears... so much Irish history is steeped in that ground.... my grandfathers family, generations back also helped to originally build it's foundations ... they also built some of Guinnesses Brewery.... I know they worked on it... but I do not have the records yet of which area of the ground they actually built... I am working on it though... I'm kind of proud that the foundations have all seemed to be solid enough ...to not falter after all these rock concerts etc.... Oh no...... I'm all homesick again..... hmmm.....

Haven't seen the DVD, but as Mark and his family don't actually live that far from Shane in Sligo... [only a couple of miles away, I imagine it's the same woods... or part of it, they stretch for a few miles, the woods, themselves are called 'Slish Wood' , the river most probably is the Garavogue River that runs between Lough Gill and the Atlantic... although, a number of other rivers runs down that area.... the Bonnet, the Unshion, the Esky, and the Moy [Where I used to fish for trout and salmon with my late grandad when I was a kid...] amongst others are are rivers around there... Although, the scenery is quite beautiful around Sligo in general.... Quote:
