Studio 60 on the Sunset StripStudio 60 on the Sunset Strip just hasn't found its audience and NBC's patience is wearing thin.  A show whose merits I have time and again touted, Studio 60 has not received the ratings to justify its gaudy budget (over $2 million per episode) and big-name cast.  NBC has had confidence in the Aaron Sorkin-run show, but the audience that they thought would eventually come remains absent.  America would much rather watch its time slot competitor CSI: Miami, it seems.

Studio 60 was originally supposed to air another brand-new episode next week, but NBC is pulling it in order to air the premiere of The Black Donnellys, a mob drama from the mind of Paul Haggis (“Crash&rdquo.  NBC's official word is that Studio 60 is merely being placed on hiatus, and will return sometime in March.  We've heard that one before.

I hope your wrong. I think it's a great show put up against a ratings giant. In other words, it didn't have a chance. I will be very disappointed if "Studio 60" doesn't return.

I love the show except for the parts about Matt and Harriet. Unfortunately lately that seems to be all that the show is about. I like the Matt/Harriet story at first but they keep beating us over the head with it. Enough already!

I love the Matt and Harriet story line and want to see the denouement! I won't watch The Black Donnellys and have told NBC so-- at least till Studio 60 is given another time slot (that may work better-- this has never even been tried) and actually I won't watch anything on that network again if they kill off this one intelligent show without giving it another chance.
Could Amanda Peet's giving birth have anything to do with the hiatus?

Where can I email to complain to NBC about this! I love this show and would really be disappointed not to have it on my list of things to TIVO. Looking forward to your help!

don't know and never have known why the American public hates to be pushed toward quality television. I just know that they do. My only reasonable guess would be that they have constantly been spoon-fed the sorriest excuses for entertainment by network executives who refuse to hire the best writers and then get the hell out of their way and let them do their jobs. For example, write quality dialogue for well-conceived and well-developed characters in the framework of a good storyline.
Hey, NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox....stop thinking we are all as ignorant and stupid as the worst and lowest common denominator. Give us something and someone(s) we can relate to and care about, and we will skin those dollars off towards your sponsors. And, you get to keep your jobs by doing something of which you can be proud, instead of the same old pap reheated ad infinitum (that means over and over, since I'm assuming you all are as stupid as you assume we are).

They say only the good die young. This show should be given CPR to revive it. Perhaps the ratings would be better if they would leave it on and stop with the "here again gone again" schedule. And who picked this time slot?? It's too good to let it go.

I think Studio 60 is one of the top 5 shows on television, I like the characters and the story line.
People really should have an easy way to let NBC know how much alot of us enjoy the type of humor Studio 60 delivers...One way is for everyone who likes St60 to make sure they are watching ANOTHER channel at this time slot if it is cancelled. I for one will be!!!
