Default Oh, well...

The show still hits the big punchlines where it can (Sorkin's overlapping dialogue reminds me of the late, great Altman's best stuff) but I'm so sick of the religious overtones that I'm ready for it to be gone.

Sports Night was better than this, with less "known" actors, and if that didn't survive what hope did this have?

It was a good distraction for a couple months, but time to move on

I agree. I loved the parts of the show that were about "Studio 60" but got tired of getting beat over the head w/ political and religous dogma (both for and against).

I never understood why "Sports Night" didn't make it.

I liked the show, but agree- the religious stuff was a little much. And towards the end- seemed like they were capitalizing on the war a wee bit much.

But I loved Jack. lol.

Steven Weber -- once again succeeding in a small role on a dead show.

I actually love this show and hope it stays. It has some of the funniest lines and bits that i have ever seen. And i think the political and religious undertones just make it edgier cause you actually need some brains to follow along.

Sports Night (one of my favorite shows of all time) failed because Sorkin could not figure out how to do 2 shows at the same time... he basically chose the West Wing over Sports Night.

Agree - Sorkin gets too busy and then combusts (although West Wing seemed to get better when he left).

Sports Night gave us the break-out of Peter Krause...so it wasn't all bad.
