This is my first post on the forum. Actually the 2nd, but I don't think the 1st went through - if this is a duplicate I apologize. ANYWAY....it almost time for the finale and I've watched every year from the beginning and every year I'm disappointed with the way the show announces the winner. Kat reads the name, gets a few words with the winner, the other contestants rush the stage, and click, after just a couple of minutes, the show ends for another season. I always feel "shut out" of the celebration. This is after watching the show for months, voting every week for my favorite(s) and then after all the build-up, the winner is announced and then they're gone - tune in next season to start all over again. I'd love to see more of the celebration - does the family get to join the winner on stage? We don't know - we don't get to see that - but after the way the producers play up certain family members who attend all season, don't you think it would be fun to see them with the winner? Imagine in the past Benji's Dad, or Joshua's family - or this year - Kayla's Grandparents, Melissa's husband or Evan's brother, if he's there. It would be so gratifying to see them celebrate, if we had a part in their success. I'd also like to hear a more detailed interview from Kat with the winner, after the initial few moments of shock wears off. If the show could cut back on the judge's sometimes excessive talking a bit, they could easily come up with an extra 5- 10 minutes out of the 2 hours to devote to the winner after the winner is announced. Does anyone else feel like this? I'd love to hear what others think about this. OK climbing down from my soapbox, thanks for your time!
