Alan Ritchson, Justin Hartley and Kyle GallnerWith rumors swirling that Smallville will be coming to an end either this season or next, one question becomes inevitable: will there be a spin-off? Surely one of the CW's biggest hits will find away to live on and keep comic book fans hooked. Of course they tried to do this before with an Aquaman series, but that show tanked due in large part to the WB/UPN merger that left almost all new shows treading water.

But now the CW is in full swing and could easily benefit from yet another hour-long comic book drama starring a model-turned-actor who finds various excuses to become romantically entangled with several female co-stars while removing his shirt. And given that, just last season, Smallville introduced it's own, slightly pared-down version of the Justice League, the potential for spin-offs is huge. Here's a brief rundown of the four potential ideas, judging their star potential. Keep in mind, these are not official in any way, simply our suggestions for what the Smallville team could do next.

Why don't they do a spin-off about a Justice League type team, and it would star Green Arrow, Cyborg, Impulse, and Aquaman? 4 cute guys are better than one.

What about Supergirl? In reality, that seems to be the most likely choice.

Yeah, a justice league thing would be cool. But four guys might not be enough.

what about a metropolis spin-off? where smallville's clark kent (tom welling) finally puts on the suit and moves to metropolis and clark falls in love with lois lane. they shoud also make all the justice leaguers regular members and hopefully lex will finally be a completely ruthless criminal now. the show would need to have lana and chloe killed off. i think every smallville fan is tired of lana. chloe is cool but she not even part of the superman mithology. and the justice legue show would be cool, but a justice league movie is already being made and its going to be awesome.
check out these youtube videos if you like the idea of a metropolis spin-off and a justice legue movie: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZntKMJFqLRA (justice league movie)

yeah, "metropolis" they wouldn't even have to waste time with writing a script, just repackage 'lois and clark: the new adventures of superman' with the new characters and send it on its merry way.
