It might even be Lana who kills Lionel, assuming he's the one to die. Her death threat against Lex this week sounded pretty serious, if she finds out Lionel kidnapped Clark she might kill him. That could also be the final straw for Clark, and how they write her out of the show.

I like where you are going with this, suden but I think that its a little to heavy. If lana did kill lionel then there would be no way of redeeming lana or clana. How could clark ever love her after this. If that is the case then she would have no point to come back for guest spots next season. Also lana did tell lionel that she loves clark and that she really wants to work on being some one that clark can love again. Due to that, it might not make sense. Lex killing lionel is a safer bet. Besides lex evolving and killing lionel will only serve to drive clark more into his evolutiion of reaching his destiny of superman. If it plays out like that then lana would have to leave smallville for some other reason.

well i dont like it, but it will be John Glover (Lionel Luthor) who will be killed off, which is sad, cuz i like the way they have shaped him over the last couple seasons, but it makes sence, he will be the last one of the Veritas group to die, thus, keeping it a secret forever (minus anything lex finds out about it) i also think that Chloe will be the one who ends up in a coma, giving clark the ability to go off and do his own thing. it will be interesting to see how they manage to write off lana and lex so they will only be guest spots next season. also kinda wondering if they will ever start a clark/lois thing, at this point, wouldnt make sence, but if season 8 is it, then might want to start mid season.

and my guess was right, lex kills his father, knew since season one that when they kill him off it would be lex to do it, cuz this is the thing that takes away the last little bit of good in him, and makes him the evil ass we all know and love.
