I disagree with his views yes, but I love his insightful views and intelligent arguing. That said, back to Blue: The writers better give us a good payoff in the end. After subjecting us to the kind of crap they have given us this season, I demand a payoff-- Grant is Julian Luthor??? Sorry everyone, I'm still stuck on this horrid horrid twist... how they ever sat back and thought "Brilliant, let's give the viewers a twist they did not expect, sheer brilliance" is beyond me!

Why Cecil, thank you so much for noticing! Seriously, there can be no excuse for a post like lanasdagirl's most recent one. However, that said, I looked back in the chain and found some clues to what is going on...

Chloe went from an ungrateful selfish !@#!@ who would sell her own mother for a story for her paper in seasons 1-3 to everyone's friend in season 4-6 and now to a cranky old hard-up hypocrite in season 7. So her season 7 attitude is partly due to everyone having sex except her. Well, perhaps if she were to put a bag over her head someone would actually bang her. Her man in the blink of an eye has moved from hamburger to prime steak (kara). Someone has to tell her to stop her hypocritical ways and leave lana alone since lana is only evil to the luthors, and someone should indeed be going after the luthors. Lois is supposedly doing that, but she's much too dumb. She was offended in part by lana's secrecy of the purpose of her isis foundation. Imagine being offended by secrecy when she's a ticking time bomb who could explode any minute to destroy mankind, being a meteor freak, and one who has been keeping it a secret. To all the kids who are watching, regarding lois: dropping out of college and not being able to type and spell isn't going to get you a journalist job. If I were Clark I'd be in love with Lana too. It is not by accident that she is popular; she has the qualities men fall in love with. But Chloe's character is probably the most admirable on the show and it is no accident that Clark loves her too. Of course there is no one in her world who can compare with Clark and she cannot help loving him. That's only natural. But despite the difficult position she has been in since a very young age she has not let it poison her. She has been best friend to both Clark and Lana over many years. It is a testimony to her worthiness that she has been able to do that with grace and constancy, and without bitterness. She has had her moments of weakness but on the whole she has done nothing to deserve contempt or complaint. Lanasdagirl, you are judging her by a superficial and short-sighted standard and I think you would benefit from broadening your perspective. Of course she could liven up her social life by lowering her standards but it is not

it is not clear she would find more satisfaction with her life that way. She sticks to her principles and I admire her for it. If you take a closer look at Chloe's character you may be surprised by what you see.

I almost hate to say this stuff because the writers seem intent on demonstrating that everyone has feet of clay and no one can be a hero all the time. Personally I think they are ruining the simple beauty of the myth with that approach and I wish they would stop. But perhaps they will be willing to let Chloe retain her purity of spirit precisely because, at least on the face of it, she is more of an aide than a first-rank hero. Anyway, they have already written about 8 episodes that we haven't seen so I guess the die is already cast.

what are you talking about? the girl is a liar and hypocrite. how can she get angry at someone for keeping secrets when she is keeping a huge one? in wrath, lana apologized to her for not disclosing the truth behind her isis foundation. she (chloe) however is a ticking time bomb and she didn't disclose to lana that she could very well go crazy and hurt her like the other meteor freaks. in the beginning too she really would have sold her mother for a story for her school newspaper. she sold out some of her school mates.

To Lanasdagirl, I don't know what show you are watching, but clearly it's not Smallville. Or maybe you are just stuck in seasons 1-3. Chloe is one of the most non-conflicting characters on the show. Yeah, she made mistakes in the past like others and has paid dearly for them unlike the Dark Princess. And yeah, she too has her flaws just like the others, but a liar and hypocrite?? I wouldn't go so far as to call her that!! If that's the case then everyone else on the show is also a liar and a hypocrite. Just about everyone on the show has complained about secrets being kept from them at one point or another and yet everyone is keeping secrets. Clark is concealing the fact that he is an alien, and just recently opened that up to Lana.. Lana is concealing the darkness within her and the fact that she stole $10 million from Lex which she has yet to tell Clark or Chloe about.

Not to mention, she didn't tell Clark (her boyfriend) or Chloe (her supposed best friend) that she was running a covert spying operation on Lex. They had to find that out on their own. Lois is now hiding her relationship with Grant from Chloe. And Grant is now hiding his relationship with Lois from Lex and he's hiding the fact that he is Julian Luthor from everyone especially Lois. Lionel is protecting Clark's secret and the fact that he is Jor-El's vessel. And we all know that Lex has an entire Fort Knox of secrets that he's keeping from everyone. So my point is everyone is keeping some sort of secret and everyone still complains about secrets being kept from them. So if you want to call Chloe a liar and a hypocrite then whatever.. Go ahead.. But acknowledge the fact that when it comes to secrets everyone is a liar and a hypocrite in some sense. Some of them have good reasons behind their lies and others have selfish reasons behind their lies, but they all lie. Not just Chl
