Kal-El's Gal warns: Grant is not really Grant. Grant is, ready for this - Grant is JULIAN!!!!! That's right guys, Lex's baby brother believed to be suffocated by first Lex, and then his mother, in his crib as a baby is alive and well, and living as the editor for the Daily Planet - you guessed it - GRANT!!!! I don't know about the rest of you, but I think this is pathetic, and the writers are really grasping at straws here. Not to mention the fact that this completely obliterates storylines that made so much sense in past seasons of Smallville. Lex actually lost his mind because he believed he had killed his own brother, and then it was because he had witnessed his mother performing the act. And now they've made it sound as if Lex had known about Lionel's pretending Julian's death had been known to him all along. It makes no sense, not to mention the fact that Lionel did this already with his other son Lucas, didn't he? Repititon anyone? New ideas perhaps? I'm looking for a full time j

still Kal-El's Gal: I'm looking for a full time job as a writer in case anyone from the CW is reading this - give me a buzz, I'd be more than happy to provide some cohesive storylines for the show. All in all, this episode was pretty mediocre, like all the others so far this season. Hope you all enjoy it more than I do. I'll be rewatching it on the CW Thurs night, who knows, maybe it'll get better the second time around. It usually seems better the second time because I've already had my great expectations crushed and I'm expecting so much less. Let me know what you all think after the episode.

Kal-El's Gal again: Oh yeah, and Kara disappears and ends up in Detroit, minus her memory. No one knows where she is, or what happened to her. Tacky!

So who the hell was in cahoots with whom? The spoiler we were given at the top of this page appears to have sucked. Thanks Kal-El's Gal, great summary. I especially like your point about obliterating "storylines that made so much sense in past seasons." That is what bothers me most because it is turning the series as a whole into incoherent nonsense.

Lanasdagirl--- FIRST of all hating a character does not equal hating the show--- we are entitled to hate whoever we please--and sadly for you the object of our hatred seems to be your beloved Lana--- sorry! Lana sucks in all the fun of every scene she's in, but she's not in every scene and we can wish her to burn in eternal flames and still watch the show. Actually part of the fun of Smallville is realizing that one can hate a charater soo much, with hatred of a thousand suns and still watch the show. So there... I hate Lana, and I hate her soooo much I would cheer and give a standing ovation in any episode that shows her being fried by Clark's heat vision-- or worse still by Bizarro if he were ever to return! Of course this is not gonna happen, so I am left with the only satisfaction I can get my usual "die Lana die" cheer! MasonYonu, welcome to the partial dark-side. I hope that soon you will join us wholeheartedly! I've kind off jumped past Kal-El gal's spoilers so i'm still just sp

speculating here... I thought they meant Chloe is in trouble-- as in Chloe and Lex find out about the Lois/Grant relationship and both try to tear the two apart, then maybe Chloe realizes that Grant is Lex's plant and therefore gets into trouble with Lex??? This is just speculations... I'm trying not to get spoiled by reading Ka-el gal's posts...at least not until tomorrow. But I agree with both of you, the writer's just seem to be writing for the sake of it-- not really tieying in the loose ends, which sucks because the show is almost coming to an end. They should be wrapping up storylines by now, not creating new ones that do not make sense.

Cecil, I was happy for you when I realized that Grant had it in for Chloe from the start so his "professional" opinion of her merits as a reporter is less than worthless. What bothered me about the spoiler is that we are expected to take Grant as good and Lex as evil. But the writers have pelted us for so long with the message that maybe Lex is bad, maybe not so much, that to expect us to think of him as pure evil now is simpleminded. And Grant's character development has been so flimsy that I have hardly noticed him. If he is a Luthor and good enough to lead an internationally preeminent newspaper then he should have shown some evidence of intelligence in his dialogue but I don't remember any. He seems to think the way newspapers can beat the Internet challenge is by becoming the National Enquirer or the Weekly World News, which I regard as doubtful. In any event I have seen no reason to think much of him at all, much less that he represents "good". So once again we are ex

we are expected to ignore character development and just take their word for it that NOW Lex is "evil" and Grant "was thought to be good".

Ok so there was no people in cahoots with eachother. The writing is to bad now that its even making the spoilers suck. And kara being zapped to detroit with no memory is so lame. For all the lana lovers who refuse to believe she is poorly written: She was an evil mastermind the whole season and in one episode the turns into martha stewart...making tea and staying put when all this stufff is going on...yuck. I am losing hope that the writers will make a payoff at the end when they have storylines like a fake break up and grant ia all of a sudden lex's brother that was thought to be dead. Twists and turns in stroylines and call backs from past seasons are all great things but at least make them more clever and make some sense

WAIT!!! Grant Lex's brother??? You kiddin' me? ok, so now I have to read Ka-el gal's posts because I can't remember ever being a mention of another one of Lex's brother, except the half brother that we met in a previous season, and the one the little infant that died and had Lex treated horribly by Lionel as a result... so now they are telling us that there was a THIRD brother after all this? or was it the little infant? I can't imagine the story getting more bizarre than that! MasonYonu, I totally agree (wow that's a first, me totally agreeing with you hehe...) with you on the writer's completely ignoring character growth. I mean, Grant is brought in as this BIG editor addition, the only time we see him is sizing down Chloe, and then coming onto Lois and finally Deleting Lex's hard-drive, and then BOOM-- he's a Luthor??? The writers have to be on some weed or chewing something worse... because there is no way in hell, I'm suppossed to believe that suddenly Lex is EVIL with capital let
