Is Smallville going to end next year? (spoilers and speculation)

Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor in Prototype

Michael Rosenbaum has said that he’d be leaving Smallville after the seventh season. Some fans were concerned about the show going on without him, while others point out that many sources say the seventh will be the last for Smallville anyway. But will it?

While everyone seems sure that next season will almost certainly be the last for Smallville, rumours abound that producers of the show have signed some of the actors, like Tom Welling, for an eighth season.

I think that Lana's going to "die" but she'll fake her death and maybe return as a regular or a guest star in the next season. But it would just be stupid to kill Chloe, now that she has a power ! Ok, maybe she'll heal Lois which will make her lose a lot of vital energy and she'll be in real danger, but she won't die, she CAN'T ! Chloe's the best ! Come on Clark, open your eyes !! Chlark forever !!!!

"Sources tell me it is a lot like the scene between Peter Petrelli and Claire on [April 23]'s Heroes." If you saw that episode of Heroes, you know that Peter "died" but was about to come back to life after Claire removed the piece of glass that killed him, because he gained Claire's power of regeneration."

Peter actually gained that power in episode 9(Homecoming) when he went to save Claire from Sylar.

i so love this i hade no idea that a lot of pople did not like lana like me come on she is such a baby if she loves her firendship with chole so much she she have told her that i know you love clark and you should go for it i still love clark but i want him happy and i know that you would make him happy ckand cs foever

I'm hoping that TW will be the star in the 8th season of a show called "Metropolis" which will also star Erica Durance as Lois Lane, Aaron Ashmore as Jimmy Olsen, and Michael McKean hopefully reprising his role as Perry White. I would kill to see an updated version of "Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" with TW and ED replacing Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher.

I'm not sure what's happening with Chloe, I believe that Lana's death will be faked and that she may guest -star next year. Perhaps Chloe will end up going insance when her power kicks in, just like her mother? So she will be alive, but not on the show anymore. She isn't part of DC Comics canon, but continuity in the DC world is a moving target, so who knows?

why would they do that to her they are noe putting her in the comisc and she is the reai lois lane and thsat the bottom line chole and clark and she will not go crazy like her mom clark will not let that happen and if he had to chose he would pick chole over lana cause deep down he loves chole not lana if he did love lana she would have never been with lex he may have been angery but thats it lana and clark will never be together and why cause he could never trust her with his life and on the other handhe could trust chole with life

You guy's are so right lana should die and than clark would be free from her forever. chole's death would make me so mad she's his moral arc.and as for lois we know there meant to be.

i do realy think chole is the real lois and lana and lexs father wiil die. in all the others stories lois is the reporter but chole is not lois and that makes me think and jimmie is most to be clarks best firend but they can not stand each other jimmie likes chole and clark does not think he is good for chloe so airgos he loves her. and ihope he will tell her in the next season thinks christina

Well, I can see none of you like Clana, well I do! Nothing against any of you, but Chloe is not real they made her up, Lana's in the comic books. I don't know if any of you have read the comics, but Clark still does love Lana(watch Superman 3). The only reason most of you want Lana dead is because of the stupid writer's. Don't get made at her, get made at the dumb nuts how are writting her character. I've been watching Smallville since it started and I'm pissed that the show has gotten so bad!That's just my opinion. Sorry if I upset any of you.
