Allison Mack Returns for 'Smallville' Season 8

It looks like there will be a few familiar faces on Smallville next season after all. Last week, we mentioned the possibility that Allison Mack may not return for the show's eighth season. Following the departures of Michael Rosenbaum and Kristin Kreuk, Mack's reps were playing hardball with Warner Brothers in an attempt to get their client a better deal. Their tactics must have paid off, because TV Guide's Michael Ausiello announced today that Mack has signed on to appear in every episode of Smallville's eighth season.

Not only will Chloe return, but Ausiello is reporting that one of Smallville's greatest recurring characters may also come back to town.

Im happy that she is returning a lot of fans are upset that Lana and Lex will not come back full time for season eight and believe Chloe's character is useless but I disagree.. Her character is a moajor part of Smallville and without her there the show wouldn't be the same as with the other leaving chracters.

I absolutely love Justin -he's just too adorable and I'm very excited to hear of his return. However, I'm more excited to hear Chloe will be back. She's got a great dynamic and she's so much fun. This is the best news I've heard all day.

Oh, whoopy. Saint Chloe the doormat will be back for an 8th season. Next season maybe she'll actually offer up her bare hand to wipe Clark's a**. I mean she already thinks he's comparable to God. I didn't think I'd be as upset to see Michael go as I was Kristin, but I was. Clark, Lana and Lex were the backbone of this show and now with two of the three main talents leaving, the show is sunk beyond all repair. Goodbye Smallville. I hope Tom goes onto bigger and brighter things.

I am very happy to hear that Allison with be a regular on Smallville and she deserves to have a better contract since Michael and Kristin are leaving and they need her. Chloe is a great character and I love her storyline with Clark. They do work well together and she is the heart of the show. I am going to miss Michael and Kristin and hopefully we will see them on a couple of episodes. Justin might show up on Smallville would be great and I would love a couple of episodes of the Green Arrow storyline.

I'm super excited to have Chloe back. But really when will the CW learn and just give Justin Hartly his own Green Arrow spinoff. What a network of idiots!

It's about damn time they gave her the money she deserves. She's MADE this character.. and would do well to continue it for the next 5 years or so in a Justice League spin-off that you just know is coming. Chloe is now just as vital to the Superman legacy as Jimmy Olsen.
